Because it's cheap.

I like the idea, but i hope they get some good housemates.
It's cause casting are incompetent they can't even find a full cast of regulars anymore such a joke.

Look at us all getting excited about a second house being built the past couple of months, we should have known what it was for. :hehe: It'll probably suck but so have the past two years so what's new.
Does this mean that every future series now will have celebrities because I doubt they'll rip down the expensive second house after a year? If we even get another series that is !!

Voted hate it. (There's like 3 threads on this new twist btw  could they be merged?)

True. They should save the money they'd be spending on 'celebrities', and use it to hire better casting people/promote auditions etc

Hate it with a fiery passion.
Imo it's wrong because it's suppose to be Civilian Big Brother not Celebrity Big Brother so there shouldn't be half the cast full of Celebrities on the show.
Then of course it ruins the competition element of the show as the Celebrities are more likely to survive the votes against the Civilians just purely because they've already got a pre-established fanbase that's willing to keep them in even if they're not watching the series.
It's basically BBCAN's awful Wildcard twist made even more awful than theirs as it will have a detrimental effect on how annoying and bad I suspect the Civilian Housemates will be just to make sure that the public tolerate the Celebs presence on the show.

There is a possibility there could be a celeb/civilian divide. Think about it, there's two houses, Emma's going to need time off for maternity, so would make it easier to hae a merge, only reality tv stars are being rumoured which could lead to a less a list house. I'm undecided at the moment, it depends how they carry it out.

Just imagine putting up with Nikki's tantrums for a SIXTH TIME!?
And Aisleyne's bad enough once, let alone three times.

The only time I want to see Helen and the word 'terrorise' in the same sentence is hearing she's been the collateral in a new ISIS attack.
I hate her that much I'm willing to go that low.

I can't figure out what it all means.
If they are two house, does that mean they're not living together?
I certainly don't like the idea of two separate places, I want all the housemates together from the start and right through.

Seeing as the level of 'celebs' has been so dire and that most of the civilians are wannabees with agents, one has to ask, would we notice the difference?
Channel 5's idea of 'great names' includes people from Ex on the Beach, Geordie Shore etc.,
As a long term fan, I would rather see a civilian BB with a diverse group of housemates (none with an agent) adhering closely to the original format and with an intelligent production team.

24% voted for Switch on - brilliant!
27% Switch off - Terrible
22% I miss twist-free BB
27% Watch out of curiosity
Don't forget this is the type of audience that Ch5 are trying to cater towards and this isn't a very good result for them considering the already low viewership.
Why tf would they think this was a good twist tbh? The people who watch BB watch it because they want normal people and not celebs! The viewership between BB and CBB isn't even big so Idk what they're thinking.
I thought the idea sounded ok at first but now I'm entirely against it.

Honestly I wouldn't mind it if they casted the right "celebrities" and axed Summer Celeb BB.
The cast would just have to be really, really strong.
I mean going off past seasons imagine if the past regular BB and CBB had been joint.
Jade, Harry Amelia, Harriet, Amy & Sally, Tiffany, Megan, Gemma, Stephanie
Marc, Aaron, Jack, Joel, John, Scotty T, Jeremy, Christopher
The idea has potential.

Love & hate is probably the worst answer to give, Like or Dislike is more situable. I'll see how it is anyway, Ain't sure yet.

While your lineup is actually not bad with what you had to work with there, and surprisingly diverse by Ch5's standards, the main issue is that the Celebs will have the advantage in the voting as their friends and family can try Scotty T's friend's trick of call such and such number and then it's really a vote for such Celeb, and the fact that Celeb's have fans that vote for them that don't even watch BB that would swing the result, if it can do it on the Celeb editions then why on Earth can't they have an effect on the Civilian edition?
Heaven = Winner

Isn't that the concept of CBB nowadays anyway, with the way they grab so many names that barely anybody has even heard of before?
