How are you going to make a change in your community? All of this big brother stuff can't be going to waste, surely.
I try and do my bit. Make regular donations to charity, carry out voluntary work, recycle. I did that before Big Brother though.

But the question is 'Do you love with an unselfish heart? Do you love the unloveable? This is where the test is.

Don'twe have the right to choose things around us and make them life applicable if some good can come out of it. Hmmmmmm. That's the problem here. People don't creatively build on bases for the good of society because everyman to himself. Me Mee Meeeeeeee.

I am so inspired by Shilpa I am doing as Jermaine said and looking in the mirror! That is really the best I can do. I now think MORE before I speak, and just try harder to be genuinely nice and kind.

This is wonderful ray of sunshine. This is what TV should be all about, drawing positive things and applying them to our lives. That's why we need the media to share this objective with us as a society. Well done Keep it up.

Thank you expat. I am not only trying, I am doing it. I LOVED when Shilpa told Jermaine that it was "WORK." It really is, even for her. Which makes sense cuz we are all human.
This experience has made me want to live more in the moment and be present. Which is HARD, but worth it. I think one thing that is important to remember about this whole jade and shilpa incident is that without Shilpa being such a class act, it would not have become the big incident it became. Imagine if Shilpa would have been yelling and screaming at her just as bad.
lol @ emilee, keep it up! How can people tell already? lol.

Well, 'Man in the Mirror' was released in 1987, but if it takes a TV show to get the message through 20 years later I suppose its better than never.

why does it matter what it takes?

Well done Ray of sunshine, yes it would have been very different if Shilpa had not kept her dignity. Lesson:do not lower your standards to those of other people, no matter how much they may dislike you. Pity those who are making fools of themselves and continue living with zest and zeal

My point is, just because the TV introduces you to the world, dont forget it was already there to be discovered a long time beforehand.

It's a TV show, I use it as a distraction method.
If I really needed a TV show to inspire me to do something for my community then I need help.

One thing I have learned in life: Inspiration can come from the most unlikely of places. :)

Why should i change my community? I know I'm not a bully or a racist. Do I have to go out and prove that? I have enough to do with running a family home.
Its just a show and its raised a lot of media attention. But if Shilpa can forgive and get on with her life... why cant we?
