View Full Version : Is london less safe with sadiq kahn as mayor?
the only way he could make it less safe would be if he actively interfered with intelligence operations or cut funding to the services which I would suggest is highly unlikely

Boris was a buffoon and Ken Livingstone was corrupt, so he really can't do much worse than his predecessors

No, London will not be less safe in my opinion and I think he will be a really good London Mayor too.

The campaign against him has been disgraceful. It's basically come down to 'he's got brown skin so he's a terrorist innit?'
London is certainly safer in his hands then it was in that bumbling fool Boris'.

its not about 1 person, its about the people they surround themselves with. I don't know enough about them in this case. I do know that he has distanced himself from Corbyn, so that's a good start.

The fact that Boris is clearly not a buffoon is what makes it so ****ing sinister that he's perfected this act of pretending to be one. Like a shark swimming around saying "Lololol look at me I'm just a harmless and silly rubber chicken!"

Lets give him a chance to get his feet under the table, we have to give him time before we can judge anything

hi cherie.
to be fair boris has left it in good nick, the job should be easy if he can keep it safe.

lets say for 1 moment that he was a terrorist supporter. How long do you think he would last in his position if he took action in support of them. With the eyes of the world upon him, I would suggest minutes.

:joker: it got him in.
One things for sure, you won't be able to criticise him like you could Boris without being labelled a racist.

I would imagine that people will be able to criticise him without being labelled racist so long as their criticism obviously isn't based on his race.
Which most of it will be, either explicitly or covertly.

He is in a no win situation if London is attacked during his term, it is a prime opportunity for ISIS to divide a city, no question about it

I think we need to put the Mayor position in context. Its not an all powerful position. Indeed the one being proposed for Manchester is much more wide ranging. That will be the interesting one.

According to Scotland Yard, nearly 20 per centt of all murders in London now have “gang associations”.
so not even 1 fifth
"Detectives say they cannot account for the increase but point out that the total is still historically low — seven years ago, the figure topped the 150 mark. "

People only get mad about Political Correctness because they don't like the fact that their bigoted views are no longer accepted in soceity.
The way Sadiq Khan was been treated is racially motivated, Nobody acted like Boris was going to lead the city to ruin despite how incompetent he is because he's white and eccentric.

wrong again. political correctness is why 20,000 children got abused in Rotherham by mainly muslim men and the cops and everyone else felt unable to talk about it or expose it for fear of being labelled racist during the regime of the corrupt politically correct new labour government

it is 100% wrong. read my reply above. PC has made free speech and actual conversation virtually illegal, the irony is when its used against labour they soon realise it works both ways as they have embraced radical islam which is often anti semitic

Goldsmith's whole campaign was littered with smear tactics aimed at Khan's race and religion, most of this thread is about calling Khan's capabilities into question based solely on his race and religion.
Has anyone who thinks he is a danger to London actually stated why because most of the arguments against him in this thread are barely veiled attacks on his race and religion, not his politics. I on't think his stance on any political issues have actually been mentioned in this thread.
