Anyone else not liking the new series of BGT?

I don't know what it is but this series seems really dull and I've not got into it.

Some of the golden buzzers have been crap, especially Simon's.

Last year was a lot better if I remember correctly.

You can usually always rely on David to use his on a joke act and I look forward to that but he wasted it this year on an act which really wasn't that funny :shrug:

Haven't watched it at all so far, I may watch the final, but for me these shows have had their day, and are just now boring, repetitive and desperate.

The judges give the same critique they've been giving for the past ten years.

I'm not interested in the sob story, just show us what your talent is and bugger off.

Always disliked BGT tbh, can't really think of a series I've watched properly besides the Susan Boyle/Diversity one, don't like the format and think 9/10 there's always a really crap winner. I've watched minute parts of this series and it's just been dull as dishwater.

The boring shows that are on the TV are those stupid documentaries about people on benefits and plastic surgery disasters. I mean seriously, who would want to know what types of benefits people are claiming and who seriously wants to see someone talking about their messed up face???

The reason why BGT gets many viewers is because it is still, after 10 years very entertaining and it is one of ITV's biggest money-grabbing shows.

A good example of an awful show is one that broadcasts child abuse (parents slapping their own children) or shows about plastic surgery gone wrong (who in their right mind wants to see all that vile crap they show???)

With that being said, i'd watch BGT any day over the news or the coverage of an "important" political election.

Fair enough if you find it light-hearted and entertaining.

Tbf I find a lot of Reality shows entertaining even when they're past their peak (Big Brother and The X Factor spring to mind) but I can understand why a lot of people are finding Reality TV Shows dull nowadays as they don't try and shake up the formula when they start getting older, it's the reason why I think that Reality Shows are losing a lot of their ratings.

The reason why it's lasting this long is because ITV are making a really hefty profit from airing it. If it was axed, ITV would lose a lot of money and a lot of diehard fans would have nothing to watch between April and June.

It still has a massive fanbase so its not really surprising to see that it has lasted 10 series.

To those "not enjoying it", cheer up and don't take it too seriously. It's only an entertaining TV show. :)

I think the main issue with a lot of BB's new ideas is falling into two categories which are to fix someone else to get evicted to save a pet of theirs, or to make it as un-BB as possible by TOWIEfying the programme.

I personally feel if they made a twist on BB that didn't fall into those two categories then the twist would be more popular with the general public.

I honestly feel that TXF needs to be more modern, and sing different songs.

BGT needs to not be about the singers and be more about other talents that the country has to offer.

And IAC needs to have more challenges that are exciting to watch other than just the eating challenges, if Survivor can do it then IAC should be able to do it.

I think the proliferation of foreign acts gets on people's tits. The producers drag them in to make the show entertaining but the views think well it's cheating.

But what gets me every week is the crowds seemingly overreaction to just about everything. Omg there is a little GIRL WHO CAN SING :omgno:.... Wait there is a magician who has practiced a lot and it look like real magic, even though it does not exist :omgno: omg here are some guys from Turkey who can so something other than smoke and look at porn :omgno:

I don't understand why you would watch a show if you thought it was ****, the OP's question was obviously to people who have been watching bgt this year and I'm one of them and I definately don't think it's a bad series it's in around the same place as last year IMO or maybe slightly better as I've forgotten most of it.
