Its You
Its average.
An EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo that crashed into the Mediterranean Sea with 66 people on board was very likely brought down by a terror attack, experts said today.
The Airbus A320 left the French capital's Charles De Gaulle Airport at 9.09pm GMT last night before coming down off the Greek island of Karpathos ten miles into Egyptian airspace at around 00.30am. Officials said there was no distress call.
There were 56 passengers on board including one Briton, 30 Egyptians, 15 French, one Belgian, one Iraqi, one Kuwaiti, one Saudi Arabian, one Chadian, one Portuguese, one Algerian and one Canadian. There were 10 crew on flight MS804 including three security guards.
Jean-Paul Troadec, the former chief of the BEA national investigation unit, said the lack of a live emergency alert suggested a 'brutal event'.
He told Europe 1 radio station in Paris: 'A technical problem, a fire or a failed motor do not cause an instant accident and the team has time to react.
'The team said nothing, they did not react, so it was very probably a brutal event and we can certainly think about an attack.'

Said on Daily Politics that "the plane swerved sharply to ninety degrees and then fell abruptly by twenty two thousand feet.It was cruising at a normal altitude of thirty seven thousand feet".Speculation of a fight in the cockpit. No distress calls or warnings.
Scary.

This is a debate forum where I am perfectly entitled to comment without getting a personal ticking off from you. In no way am I not allowing people to "grieve". It was fair comment on topic. I don't inflame conflict. If you think I have, use the report button.

Arista was saying the cockpit may have been over powered. That would take some doing with 3 security on board, however, their change of direction a couple of times suggests something odd. Hope it wasn't a pilot.

My thoughts are only for the families who have just lost their loved ones, and also thinking of those who have lost their lives today just going about their business.
A horrible tragedy again on a massive personal level for the families of those on this flight.

I agree Joey, the poor families :(
What is the situation with the locked cockpit since Germanwings moved the goalposts?
many airlines changed procedures so that there are always 2 in the cockpit at any given time, i don't think anything was done on the strength of the door. For me it was either someone in the cockpit that caused the issue or someone took over the controls from outside the cockpit, the plane wouldnt have done those turns if it was a bomb  It's also a bit strange that it happened on entering Egyptian airspace, that would be cockpit information.

It looks as though its gone into sudden catastrophic failure and its done so around the time when the pilots were taking the plane from cruising at high altitude to preparing it for landing.

Well I made it, though I did have a very nervous passenger sitting next to me. By the time we landed his body odour was appalling
..I know that these things have to be reported but I still find it very unsavoury/insensitive in the way they often are...'body parts have been found'..'parts of a child's sleeping bag' picture inserted etc...just all so destroying../.. descriptive for families to have to read....
