Does anyone actually buy sugar cubes?

Nope...but I don't do sugar in hot drinks so there isn't a need

..not as opposed to but as well as, I do buy them...I almost have a sugar department in my kitchen but that's because I like to bake stuff../am a bit addicted to baking and different sugar types are required etc....

i have sweetners so dont buy. I have a bag of granulated in the cupboard for cornflakes

Nah and its never occurred to me to do so really. I don't see an advantage to them, when cafes have them they sometimes take a while to dissolve and you just end up with the sugar all at the bottom

My Mom used to buy sugar cubes for special occasions, didn't know you could still get them

You are right I think they might have them at afternoon tea, don't take sugar so can't say for definite

It was a lighting issue so you could see the lumps amid the white sugar backdrop. Plus I wanted to include a nice Welsh Poppy for artistic merit
