Around 10,000 people in the UK enjoy the pet play craze
Men tend to prefer dressing as dogs while women identify more as kittens
Channel 4 met and filmed some of the 'human pups' for its documentary
One of them, Tom, won the coveted Mr Puppy UK title as 'Spot'

The people calling them weirdos and creeps are very narrow-minded and sheltered. Yeah it's unusual what they're doing but there's simply no excuse for using derogatory terms to outcast a group engaging in something you're not used to. It's not harming anyone, each to their own imo.
they're sexualising animals
are you seriously surprised at people being unhappy with that

It's erring way too close to beastiality for comfort.

But it's not bestiality, real animals aren't involved. It's basically taking on the role of a pup or dog. And not every person sexualises it. There's no doubt it's strange, I just don't agree with outcasting them as 'creeps'.
They're not exactly going to read this forum though are they

Obviously not, unless they're BB fans. I'm just responding to the general ignorance of the thread.
Hardly any ignorance here. Just people reacting expectedly to creeps that are going to ruin their lives with this TV show.
_Tom_

Because of a C4 'documentary' (dogumentary?) that will display anyone involved as a creep. It happens all the time with these sorts of trainwreck C4 shows.

They can have all the weird fetishes they want but don't expect people to be receptive if they try to present it as anything more than a ****ed up fetish.

You are on a big brother forum the whole premise of which is people being themselves on camera, therefore the concept shouldn't be that alien to you.
I agree people should be able to express themselves however they wish, as long as all concerned are consenting adults.

I'm not narrow minded and I'm not sheltered and frankly I resent the implication. They can do what they like in their own home but I still think they're weird and a bit creepy... and that's my prerogative. This is a discussion after all. Are you expecting people only to comment in the positive?

The fact that it's creepy that people are into that type of storytelling? Or the fact that someone came up with the idea of a Human fancying someone that's dead in the first place?
Don't get me wrong dressing up as a Dog is creepy, but some of the most mainstream entertainment such as these Vampire Romance stories are also very creepy imo.

We're talking fiction and reality here.
Not to mention in these shows, the dead people aren't corpses they're walking talking humans.

I remember a few years back when you would get those weirdos who would act like they were actually vampires and they get derided as much as these weirdos will be.
There's a difference between fantasy and reality. Someone lusting over an actor playing a vampire on a TV show isn't the same as people dressing up as animals and ****ing each other.
tbf I don't see why its assumed that it has to be a sexual thing. They might be attracted to imagining a sense of freedom, lack of responsibilities, a simpler life etc. Yeah it remains pretty weird but then loads of people get really into pretending to be historical figures, larping etc.
Marsh.

Both mediums do these things to unleash weird fantasies, but obviously it's not really Beastiality or Necrophilia if someone had sex with someone in a Dog costume, or a writer decided to show the Human ****ing an undead character.
And in the Vampire shows you're meant to believe that they don't have a pulse so in fictional terms the main Human character that has sex with them is a Necrophiliac.

I'm not talking about viewers fancying the Actors in real life, I'm talking about thinking and enjoying shows that have the "hero/heroine" having sex with someone that's dead?
I know that people can enjoy any shows they want, but it's still imo a creepy fetish like this Dog cosplay thing.
