View Full Version : Will you be on TiBB in 5 years time?

I think I'd stick around until BB ends and then my interest would fizzle out to be honest
idek how much longer i'll watch BB for tbh. Like if it continues to be ****, there's no point in me sticking with it - it's not like it has sentimental value with it, I didn't watch it in the golden era, so my time on this forum could be fleeting! But certainly I'll be here until the end of BB17

I tend to come on and discuss everything BUT BB so who knows. :hee:

Of course... by 5 years time I hope to have participated on Big Brother but I don't think it would happen and I would want to be the first huge superfan in BBUK and the first housemate from the forum

I don't see why not. I enjoy the forum so if it still exists in 5 years then yeah I'd probably still want to come on.

Yes, I feel sure I will,I have been here for over 5 years now and have come to really like near everyone on here and also learned a lot from many people too.
Even made friends on here who one day I will I hope get to meet in person.
It has become kind of like checking in to see what the family's doing and saying.
I said this ages ago on another thread, that it was like a family on here, although as with real family, there are times you wish you were out when some,(a tiny number), of the family came visiting.

Us to stay and all throw Josy a surprise 100th birthday party in 5 years?
Yeah, I think so. Of course I could be cool and 'move on' but like Joey said when you've been posting somewhere for 5 years you get attached to the place and more importantly to the people. It's why I do always think its a bit rude when people just leave the site without a trace.

Why am I reminded of that episode of Big Bang Theory where they all agree to meet in 20 years time and Stuart is the only one who turns up?

..hawwww....and the only way to follow a TV series and catch an episode will be to be able to find time to read a thread on it, so being here will be really important...

this reminds me of my favourite interview question we used to give new sales people
"what do you want to be doing in 5 years time?"
Then you pause for a split second and as they are just about to hit the first word of their carefully planned response I would add
"on a Saturday?"
It was a good way to see someone thinking on their feet and it they had any humour about them.
The best answer was "hopefully the girl from Pret a Manger as it will probably take me that long to ask her out"
Obviously I frowned at the disgusting sexism and didn't offer him the job
No wait, I did and he is now a director at ITV

When I look back at TiBB when I first started, the characters, the feel of the place, the humour... and I look at it now, I doubt very much I'll be here in 5 years. If someone like GypsyGoth threw in the towel it speaks volumes.

LOL poor Marshy.
No, Gyps hasn't been in touch with anyone. It's a shame... so many of the great characters on here have drifted away.

Really though, although many great members have been lost sadly and also others have ceased posting now.
I find overall TIBB to be a really great place to discuss almost anything.
Recently in a bad time for me as to my pet, the warmth, the support the really good wishes of so many was so uplifting.
There are times the genuine kindness from TIBB members far exceeds what there actually is off here.
These are the things that make it a great place to be.
So for me, the last 6 years on here have been overall really good, happy and often inspiring and educational years.
Reading the experiences of others, learning the changes in their lives along with my own.
No, I hope TIBB is here in 5 years and feel pretty sure, no matter where I go or what I am doing,I will be as well.
Even as to the people I really disagree with on here, they also really help make the place more alive too.
It is a good place to be, and it can never be on such a scale that all can agree all the time,or in some cases maybe any of the time even.
However the variation of views from everyone, make for good debate and also in the more humerous and lighter side of things, the interaction is really a good thing too.
I think,as has been the case for quite a number who have had some difficulties in their lives or sadness at times that I have seen on here.
The coming together of the vast majority of those on TIBB at those times, make this a place to be thankful it is here and long may it go on in my view.
Ashley.
