Do you reckon she's turning evil and Westeros will need saving from her like they did the Mad King?

No, her mantra hasn't changed at all... But I doubt Westros is going to enjoy her immigration policies :hehe:
Niamh.

hhhmmm I don't know, I think she's feeding off the power too much now like what do you think will happen if/when........
Potential spoiler to do with a popular fan theory******
Jon discovers he's Lyanna and Rhaegars son and so has a better claim to the throne than Dany has, do you reckon she would just hand the reigns over so to speak?

I've had trouble getting behind Dany ever since she expected Mirri Maz Duur to just get over the fact that she'd been repeatedly raped, had her home burned and seen people she knew murdered all because she (the doting wife of one of the brutes responsible) "saved" her.
"Evil" is a bit of a relative term here, but she's certainly not a character I can fully put my support behind. But to be fair, most of the characters who are fully supportable are few and far between nowadays.

They just look like a slog at the size of them.
I am enjoying it, I just can't keep track of everyone and their names.

I have faith that Tyrion will keep her right...
...she's just young and has become very powerful and with it a bit arrogant, she is still essentially "good" on an individual level, wants to protect the weak etc.
I actually think what we are seeing is them developing her "over-confidence" and at some point she's going to make a mistake, e.g. Tyrion will advise caution and tactics going into a battle but she'll charge in feeling invincible, and she'll get her arse handed to her and a load of her army killed which will bring her down a peg.

I did wonder about the "Wildfire" scene... Tyrion told her all about it... supposedly this is to foreshadow Cersei doing something with that (as she will also have been told by Jaime, no doubt) BUT could that be a red herring? Now that Dany knows about it, she might pick up where he father left off and use it to burn King's Landing to the ground. Would be easier, quicker and more effective than trying to take it by force...

why does she even need the wild fire though when she has the three Dragons
also do you think that (**fan theory possible spoiler ahead**)
the theory about Tyrion being Aerys son is true? I think that theory is as likely as Jons tbh, the dragon having 3 heads being Dany, Jon and Tyrion. And Tyrion will end up arriving back in KL on the back of a dragon to fulfill the valonqar prophecy?

Enough arrows would take a dragon down and KL is well defended... The wildfire is placed strategically around the city so that a few agents could get in and light a couple of matches, burning the entire city without the alarm ever being raised.
Not sure about Tyrion and the dragon theory tbh, his story works better if he simply IS a full blood lannister... But then, I think there being three dragons has to mean something in the end. There will no doubt be three riders.

Yes, but she also started viewing the series well before me, so I am 'catching up' in a way.
She is always encouraging me to read the books and I probably will once the EU Referendum is done and dusted and I have more free time.
I really enjoy the series though - it's is so strangely enthralling. There are so many well written characters and such brilliant actors portraying them.

Benioff spoke about Daenerys’ growing strength:
“She’s not her father and she’s not insane and she’s not a sadist, but there’s a Targaryen ruthlessness that comes with even the good Targaryens. If you’re one of the lords of Westeros or one of her potential opponents in the wars to come and you get word of what happened here in Meereen, you have to be pretty nervous because this is an unprecedented threat. You’ve got a woman who has somehow formed an alliance where she has a Dothraki horde, a legion of Unsullied, she’s got the mercenary army of the Second Sons, and she has three dragons who are now pretty close to full grown. So if she can make it all the way across the Narrow Sea and get to Westeros, who’s going to stand in her way?”
Oh :smug:
Scarlett.
21-06-2016, 06:47 PM
Her husband and unborn child?
Everyone else has suffered 10x that, she's had a few minor setbacks. This pretty much shows the difference between her and everyone else.
http://i.imgur.com/BlPpPEXl.jpg
Everyone else is clawing to survive and she's just flying around on her dragons. She might not be evil, but she needs to experience a true loss before she can truly become who she wants to be.

To be fair I don't think Jon charged in feeling invincible, he actually looked pretty sure that he was about to die as the cavalry charged at him, before his own caught up and tackled them.
It was more that Ramsay managed to goad him into losing his ****. Y'know, by impaling his little brother in front of him.

He did 'charge' (metaphorically) into the battle in the first place though by thinking an army half the size could win, thinking he could protect Sansa and thinking he wouldn't get completely outwitted by Ramsey

I don't think he did think they would win though, I think he thought they would most likely die, hence asking not to be brought back again.
The episode covered the differences between the two quite thoroughly though. Jon is a warrior - not a general. His first instinct was to challenge Ramsay one on one confident that he would win... vs Ramsay being smart enough to know that he would probably lose that way and not being goaded into it. Then you have the battle itself - Jon charges in half cocked, is indeed pretty much one of the strongest individual warriors on the field, but has absolutely NO tactics at all. He comes out of it coated in dirt and blood. Ramsay never enters the battle - making tactical decisions from the sidelines and dominating the field until the Knights of the Vale show up.
Then they state it quite explicitly in the "...but Jon Snow is no king" conversation between Tormund and Davos.
What Jon essentially is... is a wildling, with some Stark / Black Watch combat and tactics training.
