Can we do a norway , find a third way? Withdraw from the monstrous 60,000 word EU constitution, but stay a member of the european economic area and stay as a trading partner? I can understand the attraction to becoming another Norway or Switzerland in terms of diplomatic neutrality/the facade of not getting involved with stuff like Syria, taking in more than our fair share of refugees, but I honestly believe the relationship with the US and the generally strong one with Germany/France etc. wouldn't result in such a drastic change on that front.

In terms of laws... yeah I can take them or leave them. I've heard a lot of rhetoric about the idea of "if we leave then our human rights are at jeopardy!" but the country you mentioned is part of the European Convention on Human Rights since it predates the EU :laugh:

But it'd be just as lovely being Sweden or Denmark so I shall vote to stay :hee:
