Testing on Monkeys????? That is so wrong. erm i only agree with it if it absolutley nessecary and it is for medicines. I only like it to be tested on mice and rats and stuff, if it is too dangerous to test on humans.

I understand WHY it's done, in cases of medical use - and it's done on monkeys because they have similar physiological aspects as us humans do whereas rats are different.
However, I find it sickening when I think that these things are happening for cosmetic use. Testing dangerous and fatal things on poor defenseless animals just for the safe of new top of the range mascara.
Poor animals

I never use make up or toiletries that have been tested on animals. There is no need for it. Its cruel and inhumane. These tests can be completed on either volunteers or skin cells examples.
Medically however, I dont like it but its a fact of life.

I am a big animal lover but also a lover of make up products, certain brands which do not test on animals are great and more people should use those kinds. The pain and cruelty which happenes daily is awful but alot of people simply do not seem to care. Most celebs are so against fur clothing etc but seem to forget that their make up and beauty products are also tested on animals which is a shame.
I can understand medical reasoning for testing on animals and finding cures etc is very important but testing other things none medical I do not agree with.

i have the greatest respect for all living things and it breaks my heart to see animal experimentation.
sorry but we do need to experiment on them, to save our own diseases, its not like humans are turning there backs on animals, we still got charities and funds for animals.

ok ,so why dont they experiment on RAPISTS and MURDERERS instead.
that way they would be helping in finding cures and paying for their crimes.
im up for that, it'll make more space in jail
ok, and now think, why the average donation to a human is $3 and to an animal is $4.

it speaks for itself.
animals are innocents.
well if you had to choose which one would die, you or a panda. which one would you choose?
its not as if i would want to see a panda dead, but this socially correct bullshit is just too ridicoulous.
imagine your relative had cancer, wouldnt you want more research done on the rats, to increase the survival of your relative, ffs

hopefully i would never have to choose.
but looking at a Panda and me, i guess i would die.:xyxwave:
well if i had a stun gun and a lab...
there is no doubt that celebs have made it trendy to argue about animal rights. if celebs start moaning about climate change, well stop buying the 4x4s

It isn't a question of right or wrong - it's a question of whether you have any morals or not.
Instead of testing on animals - medicine or otherwise, they should test on murderers, etc..

Its an agonising conflict of interest for animal lovers like those and myself on the forum....Love animals but also love relatives who's life may be saved from animal testing.
I pose this hypothetical question to myself if in order to save my life they needed to experiment on my pet dog. What would I decide......... You know Ithink I would vote to leave the dog alone and let my fate be decided by the laws of nature.....That's me I am not saying what I think is right or wrong as it is all such a serious conflict of intersts..
Experimenting on animals for cosmetics should be if it is not allready be "illegal"
It does not matter if it is a monkey or a rat or mouse they are all living creatures who experience pain and fear.....
Should they test on murderers. that's a tempting proposition but don't forget you can at times have people convicted of murder who are eventually found to be not guilty. A bit late to free them if they have died from an experiment.....
I think that testing on animals should only be done if the testing is to discover a new cure or drug for serious / incurrable diseases like heart disease and cancer.
Testing for cosmetics is stupid and cruel.

Like Bananarama I find this a difficult subject to debate. I have 2 lovely dogs and would rather go without life saving medication for myself than something be tested on them, however if it were for my children the dilemna would become unbearable!
There are some very very informative websites out there about vivisection one is called uncaged and tells you about the companies in the UK that still use testing on animals, so if you feel strongly enough about it you can make yourself informed, and also not use these products as a small protest

Any form of cruelty to animals is horrid.Eating a murdered animal is just as bad imo.
