I agree with him too! THanks for posting. :flowers:
Quality video! John tells it the way it is. as a black man myself, its good that someone like him actually can see & understand the bigger picture! only if more of us thought like that...

a reminder...

& why was some of the audiance laughing when andy said "ingage your brain..."? there's nothing funny about that! he's saying, think before you speak, but obviously some people find that concept funny!?!? when i was young my mother told me "if you have nothing good to say, dont say nothing!" & that kept me out of alot of trouble.

Absolutely brilliant summary as usual from McCririck.
That is without doubt the single most conclusive summary you will hear about the CBB5 bullying/racism incidents.
McCririck absolutely nails it. Everyone that says it wasnt racism should be made to watch that until they understand what he's saying.

John has given an excellent interview there. I would love to debate this with him!

Quality interview. I'd heard that he'd said those things but am glad I was able to see it. My father is Jamaican and worked on the buses for 30 years. He had to endure the kind of subtle racism that McCirick is talking about.

It's just McCrirrick's opinion. Nothing has been 'exposed'.
Do you write for the Scum? :bored:

If John has spoken that much sense while he was on CBB (and maybe restrained himself from devouring his snot!) I would've liked him more back then!
This is a very good interiew and he speaks a lot of sense
Thanks for the link
Now I thought John McCririck was just an offensive old man, but that was a very interesting interview and he makes some very good points, who knew he was so clued up!
I agree that there is allot of subtle racism in British society but I would say that allot of it (Danielle included) comes from ignorance and just doubting the unknown. I think Danielle has had a reasonably sheltered upbringing and the off the cuff comments are more through not knowing and not understanding more than out and out racism.
I think Shilpa was picked on and bullied by Jade but Danielle's mistake was firstly going along with the pack, (which many girls would have done) and secondly speaking without first thinking and as a result you get some pretty crude comments.
John admits that at the beginning everyone took a liking to Danielle and quite a few thought she would win, now I think the person we saw at the beginning and to be fair throughout the show was the way she is, and what amounted to a few minutes of the three weeks in the house were some stupid and silly comments that she shouldn't have said.
But now all we remember are those few minutes and have forgotten the rest of the three weeks in which she was entertaining and a great housmate.
I can guarantee we have all had moments in our lives where we really said things that were stupid and wrong and that we wished we could have taken back, that's life, we say sorry, and we LEARN from what happened.
This is a key thing here, I think many of us would have seen how easy it is to go along with the pack and not to be the one to stand up and say this isn't right, so if we can learn from the uncomfortable scenes in CBB then this has been a positive outcome of a negative situation.
Lets try to stay positive hey?
I may risk sounding like Jermaine but hate just breeds hate and is not a healthy emotion.
Lets start understanding and learning?

Most people with a bit of common sense know John McCririck is an intelligent, insightlful man. However, superficial, ignorant people cant see through the unflattering appearance and lazy manners.
John McCririck is one of the greatest Big Brother housemates of all time. No-one has made a more significant stand against Big Brother itself more than McCririck did with his 'silence campaign', and he still remains one of the most un-popular housemates.
The public dont respect integrity, they respect suck-ups.
AMG, as i have said before - Education IS The Key... & common sense & respect!

LMAO, i was more or less going to say the same thing about John. you have to see the bigger picture with him, not the smaller one he portrays!
he said it all
if any new user comes along and starts a race row, just post that video to the person
Lol, indeed he hides his genius well!!
abs, I can't agree more, something we have lost in our generation is respect, only this morning I have seen some mobile phone footage of a school pupil pulling down the trousers of his teacher! Now how can we get to that level in our society?
Don't get me wrong it was quite funny, but it tells a depressing story of British standards today.

ON Spot John. 'Tolerance' does NOT equate to 'I'm not racist'
Racism is a way of mental being. As i mentioned in a similar post, there ought to be 'education of the masses' about the massive contribution of other cultures to this country, contributions that go beyond the food culture and religious practices. Why isn't this taught. Appreciation comes with education, not iGNORANCE. We saw this in the manner tha Jo generalized Indians. tHE Education system is behind and is, to a large extent contributing to the problem, also the media and the way other countries are portrayed in a negative or pathetic light.

Britain is not a cultured society. Britain is a capitalist society. Tragically, money is the route of all evil.

If all foreign support were to suddenly be 'sick of this capitalism', and pull out, where would Britain be? The least asked for is an accurate portrayal of the foreign role in this country. Hence changes in putrid trends of thought by the ignorant.

Capitalism is founded on ignorance.
