Jermaine Jackson is to be quizzed by police after his 'white trash' jibe about Jade Goody's mum.
The black singer- seen as a peace keeper on CBB- is stunned at being dragged into the shows bitter race row. Another five stars are accused of making racist insults to show winner Shilpa Shetty, 31. A successful prosecution for incitng racial hate could result in a seven year jail sentence

Thanks for the info, Chris.
But- I thought Jermaine was quoting Leo when he said that? Shouldn't Leo be questioned as well.

Im white myself, and I hate how they do this. Because white people are being accused of racism they bring a person of ethnicity into it, to even it out, and make it seem like its not just the white people who are to blame

All the police need to do is read the transcript of the conversation to see how these words are been used out of context, no interview required - http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=54736#pid625669
This is the story that appeared in the Daily Star - http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news_detail.html?sku=1152
No mention at all that of the fact that it was Leo Sayer who said it and Jermaine said he would never use those words to describe someone.
Journalism at its rock-bottom worst from the Daily Star.
They could even be said to be inciting racial hatred.

Jermaine was using a phrase in conversation to describe how some Americans refer to people like Jackie. Its not as if it was the basis of a bullying attack on Jackie, nor was it offensive to the 'white race'.
If people want to say Jermaine Jackson is racist then I cant give them any of my attention. Ive debated with enough ignorant idiots over the past month, and it all ends up being a waste of time anyway, cause rather than seek debate, theyre only looking to rock the boat and cause confusion. Ill leave it for the 'authorities'.

I'm white and took no offence to it. It's just like calling someone a Chav. If anything, it was a classist remark.
Shame on the Daily Star and Shame on our police force. In the case of the police,it is a rediculous attempt at political correctness. They could have disproved it instantly by listening to what was actually said. There are so many fools around these days.

If Jade, Danielle and Jo have to go through all that s*** over the race row why shouldn't Jermaine? The police take everything seriously if white people are racist to other religious or skin colours we get a right telling off but if it's the other way round then the police don't tend to take it so seriously, and it's still classed as racism.

I agree, but in this case Jermaine`s remarks are being taken out of context. There is already a transcript of his actual words.

Hauling Jermaine into the problem is totally out of context. He not the focus of bullying, aggression, hate, racism or part of anything malicious to cause harm. He should be admired for his peace keeping roles.
Jade mum just like to play the blame game. Blame everyone but herself.

Because Jermaine doesn't have a case to answer, and it should be obvious from the transcript or video that is the case.
I have to say though that it is silly for the police to be involved in this at all.
Also the source for this story was The Sun - another lying tabloid. The only housemate that has been confirmed to be interviewed is Danielle.

Because this isnt about sense, logic or justice. This is about appeasing the morons who still support Jade and her crew.
Its the curse of political correctness overflowing into unjustified equality. Equality for idiots. Equality for evil. Equality for no logical reason other than to prevent ignorant people making trouble.
Modern Britain is a silly place.

At this rate they might aswell just question everyone in the house at that time. This is getting out of hand now, it really is.

Rock bottom as in bottom of the abyss James
If anything at all the tabloid reporting has only increased racist attitudes and damaged race relations further. No one can simply push a button and stop being racist. Look at the examples I gave of the tabloids mocking Germans and French and using derogatpry terms like Krauts and Frogs. That's a form of racism - and its far more overt than anything said in that house.
Yet it again it seems the tabloids can get away with their hypocrisy to a stupid baying public lapping every hatefilled word and casting aspersions on these girls who, let's not forget, took part in an innocent gameshow.

What's new in Britain?????????? Certainly not trends such as this. This is 'bullying' at it's peak, just one of the many macrocosmic reflections in society of how Jade-Danielle-Jo-Jack episodes are handled. The 'But You are worse than us or at least just as bad ' syndrome.

Its DISGUSTING that jermaine is being dragged into this.
Jade,Jo Jackie and Danielle should take responsibility for there behaviour.
there was NO hate behing that conversation between jermaine and shilpa. There was in the scumbags bullying.

I certainly thought this too,but now I`m really wondering
about all the footage that was blanked for `legal reasons`
I think there is possibly quite a bit that BB may have deemed too offensive to show!! they may not have shown stuff to ensure that they could let it run until the viewer peak of 8million. It was in their interest to let it go on for as long as possible before stepping in. If this were the case then BB are really in it ,big time..

Dirk And Jermaine being questioned now is nothing but a bad joke. You would think the police had better things to do than pursuing these ridiculous accusations that will never come even close to a formal charge.
I think the police are looking more into the actions of Endemol, and whether or not they incited problems by not stepping in sooner .Only Danielle has officially been interviewed and her original statement was about asking the police to see if she had been fairly represented. The rest is tabloid speculation IMO.
It's from the Daily Star - so it probably isn't even true. The police would certainly be checking the transcript of the conversation - in fact I would have thought that that would have been the first thing they would have done. That will be an end to it.

I think J.C. may be right. I've heard reports and claims that the Oxo argument went a little further than was shown on the highlights. The police may be investigating whether the producers should have stepped in sooner.

Jo, Jade, Jackiey, Jermain, Dirk & Danielle might be going to prison. I think is going way OTT.
