Big Brother 2017 - New Project [CBB HOUSE UPDATE]

Well, after a long break away from designing and creating something new, it's time for me to start unveiling my latest idea, Big Brother returns with a new personality - a corrupt digital persona with evil running through to his core. The new eye takes this to the heart with broken off pieces of metal revealing the inner workings of Big Brother's eye.

The Big Brother House has been given a complete overhaul and the Housemates will be in for a tough ride as they are forced to fight for power from the off.

I'll be bringing you what I can as soon as possible but sit tight and look out for updates.

That's completely fair enough, thank you for the comment! I'm not entirely keen on it myself, but the house itself has been themed around the eye so I couldn't really change it.

I've just noticed theres like a secret message in the eye like BB7's as well which I love, but idk what it says and i've been trying to look for like 2 minutes- am i halloucinating or is it really there? :joker:

Big Brother's Bit on the Side
Big Brother's Bit on the Side returns with Big Brother's new series. Rylan-Clark Neal hosts the nightly spin-off with more focus on the fans of the show, interaction with the audience and behind the scenes action from the show.

In addition, Bit on the Side's Sunday daytime outing will return at lunchtimes. The Sunday edition will be hosted from the exterior stage of the Big Brother House, with more emphasis on exclusives from the House, behind the scenes action and the evictee from Friday will give an exclusive extended interview.

Schedule:
Bit on the Side follows the usual pattern of when it airs for the new series. All episodes air on Channel 5.
Monday - 11pm

Wednesday - 11pm
Thursday - 11pm
Friday - 10:30pm
Saturday - 10pm
Sunday - 12:15pm

Sunday evenings will see a special 45 minute extended nominations show take place in the regular Bit on the Side spot.

I've got an update coming very soon! I've been making sure the House is absolutely finished/perfect! The next update is most likely going to be the eviction stage.

A little teaser about the House - it's dark and is deceiving. While it looks like a large space, the way it has been laid out and decorated actually make it a very small space. It's all very close together and quite confined. Dark edges, cramped spaces and a smaller garden makes this House one of the most uncomfortable to live in, despite the promising first glance.

The Big Brother House - Exterior Stage
This House has been on my laptop and under construction for months, even before the launch of Big Brother 17. With the new extension, this is how I had imagined the stage to look - and with that, it was used for my new House.

The new eviction building boasts a large screen with double doors that slide open to reveal the interior set up, while they lead the Housemates and Emma down a catwalk with circuits running through it to the circular presenting platform. The stairs have been straightened and changed, leading up to the famous double doors into the House.

Down from the catwalk, it continues to the other entrance which will be used for Housemates needing a ground floor entrance, but also will be the subject to the launch night twist. (More to come when the House is revealed).

After waving goodbye to the outside world and facing the infamous double doors, the Housemates will walk into the House and will be faced with the stairs. This time, Big Brother's dark design is immediately visible with light up panels with circuits running down one side, while the other is full of curves.

After walking down the stairs, the Housemates will enter the living area. This is the heart of the House and has access to the majority of rooms in the abode.

There is a large open plan kitchen and dining area, complete with store room and large double american style fridge-freezer. In the other corner of the room there is a small seating area. The sofas are in a completely separate area of the House this time around and have their own room.

That looks amazing, the layout is awesome, something Channel 5 definitely needs to look into as the current layout is STALE.

I'm loving the stairs on the right side of the wall for a change, and the placement of the kitchen and dining space is great.

The Big Brother House - The Bedroom
Following on from the kitchen area is the bedroom. Located to the side of the House and backing onto Big Brother's extension, the bedroom gives a much needed pop of colour.

In a stark contrast to the dark living area, the bedroom is alive with pink, blue and green colours. Besides the wardrobe space there is a neon light wall full with light up squares, while the large patio doors lead out to a small bedroom courtyard.

One of the main features of the bedroom is the large chandelier hanging from the roof. The other side features a pop art inspired wall.

Thank you! In terms of the house, it is made on Sketchup. I create the template for the House myself and have used the same one for a couple of years, I just added the other House onto it this year so I could use that to build in. You should be able to remove the roof of the House.

The Big Brother House - Isolation
Big Brother is introducing a new room this year - the isolation room. This room is in the main living area.

Isolation is a room that is completely soundproof and is decorated in a way that the Housemates will hate. The room is usually unfurnished unless in use - the room will be furnished when Big Brother needs the room, and for certain aspects.

The isolation room will play a big part however in a gameplay twist that will be revealed along with the Diary Room.

The Big Brother House - Garden
Big Brother has given the garden of the House a huge transformation. Not only has it been made a third smaller than the previous series, it also houses the lounge and the bathroom.

The garden is themed around the eye covered in a dark black tiling, complete with danger patterns taken from the eye itself. There is a seating area in the middle that acts as a smoking area, a large pool area which is covered by a roof and some sun loungers.

My favourite parts are definitely the arrangement of the house when you come down the stairs, with the DR to the left of them through the eye. And the lounge being separate at the other side of the garden! Great work!

The Big Brother House - Lounge
For the first time in a long while, the lounge has been isolated from the rest of the House. In a BB6-esque way, the lounge is contained in a glass box near the pool.

The lounge is a light calming area complete with a lovely grey walls, green panels and a fluffy carpet. The sofas may not be the nicest to sit on, but how much time will the Housemates really spend in there?

Really is one of the nicest houses posted here in quite some time - just all feels quite different, the garden especially. I think this design and also the reality of "The Other House" actually shows that is wasn't space that was really holding back the house at Elstree, it's just that the house designers were not using the space available to them in the most effective manner.

The Big Brother House - The Eviction House

With the extra space, Big Brother has decided to create a special area which nominated Housemates will become very well acquainted with. This is Big Brother's eviction House.

The Eviction House is entirely self contained - with the area having smaller versions of the main rooms from the House, apart from the kitchen. Big Brother will deliver meals to the Housemates. They will be provided with a small area to make tea or coffee.

However before the eviction house twist begins, it will be the home of some unfortunate wannabe Housemates. On Launch Night, 14 new people will move into the main Big Brother House, while six will walk past the stairs and through the hidden double doors into the eviction House. These six Housemates will not be Housemates.

They will be living in this space for a week, but not all of them will survive the week. It will be down to the Housemates to decide which two of the wannabes get to move into the main House, while the third will be decided by the public. The other three will then be evicted from the other House for good.

After this twist, the eviction House lies dormant until the sixth week of the series, where the eviction House will come into play. Much like the Jury House in BBUSA, this House will hold the evicted Housemates who will have a 50% say of who wins the series. Week 6 will be a double eviction, meaning they will enter the eviction House with someone else. Week 7 will also be a double, while week 8 will be a single eviction. The five evicted Housemates in this House will have the 50% say on who wins Big Brother. The public vote will be taken and added to the votes from the evicted Housemates for the winner.

Celebrity Big Brother House

The House goes under a minor transformation ahead of the new series of Celebrity Big Brother. I have taken the idea of all-stars into account in this design with lots of gold, and flashes back to older series in the bedroom.

The Celebrity Housemates will walk down the stairs which are now golden into the Big Brother House for a total of four weeks - what will await them as they return to the House?

Loving the mix of BBUK and BBUSA vibes! That idea means that even if we loose good housemates we still get to view their antics on tv, if only C5 had the guts to execute an idea like that!

I like the idea of the eviction house but not the idea of a 50/50 split on who wins - go for one or the other, or have the evictees play another role. I think it might be better used to send evictees to for 2-3 weeks and then give one of them the chance to return to the house - or alternatively use it weekly to send the nominees too, with those not evicted returning.

Other than that though as I said previously one of my favourite house designs here for quite some time.

Bedroom
Moving into the bedroom, and continuing the idea of all-stars, the comic book graphics have been removed. Instead there are now graphics from old title sequences from Big Brother history. The bedroom now takes on a red and gold theme, not changing too much from the previous series

Courtyard
Big Brother's courtyard is still accessible during this series, giving the celebrity Housemates that bit of extra space they need to relax in. The space is practically identical to the civilian House but now has more stone texture on the walls.

Garden and Bathroom:
Outside in the main garden, there has been a slight change in colour. The black slate is now lighter, with a new backdrop surrounding the pool. All of the danger patterns have been replaced with golden textures instead. The bathroom is still outside but has been adapted to provide that extra bit of privacy.
