I want Osborne so he gets blamed for the economic downturn we're about to experience and I think he wants to be PM so much he'd still take it at this very difficult time. Hopefully his ambition will be his downfall.

[It said nominations should open on this Wednesday and close at noon
on Thursday, at an emergency meeting in Westminster.]
Gove is Boris's campaign manager for the leadership, so he wont be standing unless Boris gets the heave.

Boris has it. May is hated and will have the entire country under surveillance. Her party, the police, and fire department = No for May

Definitely not Boris, for me he should not even be among the list.
So anyone but him for me, if I was a supporter of the Conservatives, however of those I would go for Stephen Crabb,I like what he said as to national unity this morning.
The one I really like is not there however and that would be Matt Hancock,he is a really great guy and would I think make a good leader.
It won't happen, but I'd like Jacob Rees-Mogg.
Seriously
I think he'd be a great Prime Minister

I doubt if Theresa May stands a chance. She campaigned - albeit later and half-heartedly - for Remain.
Whoever it is I'm grateful there won't be the same fiasco as there was electing Corbyn. Although people will try to join the Tories just to block Boris, the Conservative rules are that you have to have been a member for three months before you're allowed a vote. So anyone not registered on 2nd June cannot vote for the leader.
Will.

Only Tory members can vote. This poll is meaningless.

If only tory members can vote then maybe whatever political persuasion you are, you join to vote May, to keep bojo out!
A tactic like this was used before, I forget where :idc:

I am only holding onto, that the favourite in a Conservative leadership race, rarely wins it.
I don't rate her at all but I would rather Theresa May as PM than Boris Johnson any day of the week.
Interestingly however,my Conservative friends won't be supporting Boris, they blame him for David Cameron's downfall on this issue, and the assassin rarely gets the crown too in Conservative politics.
They may even go for a totally new face as they did with David Cameron.
I hope that whoever it is will face the same jibes and calls to have a general election that Gordon Brown got from Conservative supporters after taking over from Tony Blair.
Brown was way out of line then not seeking his own mandate within a year of taking over,at this time with so much chaos and very uncharted and difficult things to do, it is essential we have a PM elected with their own mandate and govt to see it done with authority.,

I can't imagine Boris wanting it atm, he'll have designs on taking over from whoever takes the poisoned chalice.
He has to go for it,even now and he will, despite his keeping all waiting again, yet us knowing he will too.
This was his plan and hope along.
A move behind the scenes, led by Boris,to remove Cameron would have still come had the vote been so very close as 52 to 48 the other way round.
What he is I think genuinely shocked at however, is if he wins, he'd have to be the one now that will be the person who has to enact, preside over and see through the UK leaving the EU, something he never really expected or really wanted either.
He also may even see the break up of the UK for his backstabbing efforts too.
If it wasn't so sad and bad for the UK and its future it would be almost very welcome to see him squirm his way trough this nightmare and chaos for years to come.
He's an absolute creep with little I can see of any redeeming qualities at all.
Vicky.

Boris getting it could be quite funny. He will have absolutely no idea how to sort out the mess he has created. I would be hoping for him to get it if his bumbling decisions wouldn't affect the entire country
