I can't believe Diana has been saved over her, Nicky really wanted her out of the competition he was so horrible to her during the live show and yet wants her to stay, yes she have a good sing off but Nicky just can't mentor her I have said a few times I would have her on my team if she wants. No it's a joke Fleur shouldn't have left this early. Sorry Nicole I can't talk about this anymore I need to go and calm down

Dermot: so I'm with Jake in his dressing room to have a chat with him and console him he is in bits, Jake I hate to see you like this

Jake: I'll be ok it's just so hard to process what has happened. I was so confident that Fleur would be saved and the other mentors saved Diana who they couldn't stand in the live show, actually I was the only one giving her positive feedback and I was willing to have her on my team I really didn't think they would save Diana over Fleur. I feel like it was my fault because I changed fleurs song and she did struggle with it. The spark that Fleur had at the beginning just wasn't there the past couple of week, but she had so much potential so yeah I'm pretty upset right now

Dermot: she was a great artist but you need to focus on your other acts now they are all great and they deserve to be given a fair chance do pick yourself up and go and make sure they be brilliant on musicals night

I think you girls sounded good but I think this is a slightly lazy song choice, I think this is a week that you girls really could have done something truly unique and just wow everyone, unfortunately that didn't happen for me, I think it was a good performance but I just think it was slightly forgettable 7/10

This for me was my favourite performance of yours, you worked really hard this week, you were actually quite believable as lumiere as your a brilliant entertainer and we are all your guests, it was really captivating and the staging was absolutely brilliant aswell as all the outfits I felt like I was watching the actual theatre show 9/10

Brilliant song for you, slightly lazy that 2 weeks in a row you have done a pat benatar song, but this is the kind of musical I see you in and being the lead, this suited you so much and probably your best performance of the series 9/10

This is one of my favourite songs from a musical I just think some of the lyrics we can all identify with, I know you identify with them Rylan, I felt passion in that performance you really want to be in this competition and your showing your fighting spirit, the octave was a little higher than in rehearsals so it was slightly pitchy but your voice is definitely improving week on week, well done 8/10

I disagree with Nicky, RnB is what you do best do stick at it, can I just say this song is from one of my favourite programmes and cookie I love you I think your fabulous, but back to you guys I think that was really good, you looked like you enjoyed it and had fun so that was good to see and also we have a serious lack of boybands at the moment, so I think the timing for you guys is great I think you could be the next big boyband I'm giving you a 9/10

I have wanted you to perform this for a long time because your one of the most emotional passionate performers I have ever worked with, the staging and outfits just made it feel like I was watching the actual les miserables! This was fantastic, your vocals were mind blowing but the emotion you brought through in that performance had me in pieces, Ruth that was a final worthy performance 10/10

Maan

Beauty and the beast is my favourite Disney film and something about this song always moves me and you did a great job of it, it was beautiful well done 9/10

Well I'm glad that Nicky likes working with you now I'm not sure what on earth went on last week but let's put that behind us, Diana that really was beautiful I loved your version of that song, hopefully Nicky will let you sing songs like this from now on because this is the kind of artist you are your not a big ballad singer. Maybe your best to date 9/10

Your stronger as a 5 piece that's for sure but I sort of agree with Nicky it was a slightly overdone song choice, I still think you performed it pretty well, but I'm struggling to see the difference between you and Paris inc at the moment and I'm not sure there is room for both of you in this competition. Tonight though I actually think you girls were better 8/10

Wow. There is something about you Lillie that every single song you sing, it feels like your life story it feels like the song is about you as if you have written it, that takes so much skill and experience. I gave you a standing ovation for that. If this competition doesn't go the way we want for you you have a future in the theatre which is still a great accomplishment, my winner from series one Alexandra is doing amazing well in theatre and loving it as we have worked with her this week she told us that herself so either way you have a great future ahead of you, brilliant performance thankyou 10/10

Nicole: I'm now joined by the acts from team Jake, Ruth I want to talk to you first, your performance was incredible what did you think of it?

Ruth: I loved performing that song, Jake has wanted me to perform it for a while as he views me as an emotional and passionate performer so I didn't want to let him down so there was a bit of pressure, also pressure because Anne Hathaway did such a special version of the song that it was always going to be hard to match that, as well as put my own spin on it too, but I really felt the emotion with the song, the lyrics are what a lot of people can identify with, that you have a dream or something you want to achieve in life but then problems can happen in life and you may never achieve that dream. For many years I have wanted to be in the music industry but I have had so many knock backs that I thought my dream could never be a reality but with doing this show I feel I'm on my way there now and it's such a special time for me so yeah I could really identify with the lyrics and I hope that came across. The staging was amazing as was the costume not only for my performance but for everyone so I thank the backstage team for that

Nicole: yeah it was amazing we definitely felt emotional watching it, talking of emotional Lillie your performance made me cry

Lillie: aww thankyou, the song is beautiful and obviously it's a really sad song too so I wanted to stay true to the song and out myself in the role of that character

Nicole: I agree with Jake that you could maybe be a star of musical theatre

Lillie: well I thank both of you for saying that, first and foremost I would want to be a singer and release albums but musical theatre is also something I would be interested in too so yeah I would love to do both

Nicole: what did you think of the judges feedback this week?

Lillie: well Nicky is always so sweet about me and I really am grateful for his support, owoaje I have come to terms with the fact he doesn't like me very much, but I always try my hardest at what I do and I do try to take the feedback on board and I hope the public liked my performance

Nicole: I'm sure they did, Wagner I want to talk to you now, your put on a big performance did you enjoy it

Wagner: firstly thankyou to you Nicole for singing with me, that was a great moment for me. Yes I loved singing be our guest it was really fun I enjoyed it very much

Rylan: yeah well I will always divide opinion, Nicky said vocally it's the best I have been, owoaje said it sounded like a school performance, you know I get the fact that not everyone is going to like me very much. But that's why I identified with the song so much, I'm basically defying gravity I'm doing the impossible, who would have thought I would last this long in the competition, yet thanks to the public I'm still here, and I don't set myself any limits anymore I push myself to be the best I can be and Noone can bring me down, I try hard to work on my vocals every week and if people don't like my performance well that's up to them but I feel I gave a decent performance this week and I was happy with it

Jake: amazing! 50% of the quarter finalists are from my team its incredible! but they all deserve to be here. im very worried about this triple elimination though

Nicole: yeah thats terrifying, noone wants to be bottom of the leaderboard this week thats for certain!

Jake: yeah everyone needs to up their game

Nicole: which 3 should leave in your opinion?

Jake: i actually dont know i love every act now there isnt a weak act left so its going to be tough

Nicole: well the best of luck i will now talk to your team, rylan well done for surviving the sing off how did that feel and what do you have planned this week to up your game

Rylan: for starters i expected to be in the sing off, i liked the song i had in the live show but i dont think it suited me, i didnt get to show my personality and i wasnt at my strongest vocally, so i desrved to be in the sing off, and in the sing off i picked an emotional song and thankfully i got saved, this week it will be very fun and very cheesy and not everyone will like it, but it will be very me, and if i leave then i leave on a high, i made quarter finals and that is amazing, i also get to go on the x factor tour with the rest of the top 8 so thats going to be a great experience

nicole: aww well done, ruth what do you have planned for this week

ruth: lots of passion and emotion, i want to be in the final so i will throw everything at it and give my best yet

Britney: oh i love them they are so amazing, Rlan and Wagner are bonkers and completely lovely, Lillie and Ruth have the best voices i have heard for a while and just have that soulfulness about them, you would think they have been doing this for years it like having whitney and celine dion on the show, those 2 for me should be the final 2

Katy: Yeah they are great, I love wagners craziness he really gets the party going i think he is everyones guilty pleasure, Rylan is entertaining and when the song is right he also has a good voice and he is such a lovely guy, Lillie is so emotional with songs she connects with them amazingly well, Ruth is one of the most passionate performances and is the favourite to win, so its a great team to work with

Nicole: Is there any other act you like?

Britney: i love everyone and everyone is so different, Diana has a unique voice almost reminding me of acts like the cranberries or Blondie or Cyndi Lauper, she has a lovely raspy voice, Maan is a little cutie and she has a lot of passion she almost reminds me of Ellie Goulding or Demi Lovato, Class Worldwide are a great boyband and i think we need a good boyband there arent many round aat the moment and they are like a young boys 11 men, Paris Inc bring fire to the show they are super sassy i love that, there perfomance of circus was amazing, they are like a modern day en vogue so yes everyone is superstars

Katy: yeah I agree with Britney I think everyone here deserves to be here there isnt a weak act left

Jake: I really hope so, and I think they are ready yes, Everyone has great songs this week, Wagner and Rylan are being super cheesy but at this stage of the competition i think its allowed the fans will love them no matter what, Lillie is being ultra modern ans sleek this week and Ruth will she will be more emotional than ever, im just happy i got all of them to the quarter final and they will all be on the x factor tour

This is me was originally a song by Demi Lovato, I see you as that kind of artist, but for me it bordered on being slightly cheesy and I got a feeling you weren't so comfortable with the song, I do agree with Nicky that you do ballads better, but I see what Jake was trying to do here, 7/10

I feel really sorry for you Maan Nicky picked the wrong song choice here giving you rude boy, this is a raunchy song and suits Rihanna but no one sees you as raunchy and I sensed a lot of discomfort on that stage 6/10
