We don't act like all Irish people are going to go around shooting people just because the IRA, we don't report Catholics any time they are seen near a child because we think that their faith means they are going to abuse them.

There's a difference between being aware and alert and thinking anyone with brown skin is instantly a terrorist and treating them as such. This man did nothing suspicious and he got manhandled and treated like a terrorist for having the wrong colour skin and wearing the clothes of his country.

I wasn't trying to justify it, I think it's awful that this man was tackled in this way. I said it's inevitable.

I think unless people are the actual target of racial profiling they're not going to see anything wrong with it.
