I'm currently doing a first watch of all the Saw movies in order this week (starting with the first one tonight) and was wondering which movie was everyone's favourite?

I think they're all awful but the first one was the only I found decent?

I've only ever seen clips of it but never actually watched the films in full, it seems to have a little bit of a competitive element to it which is why I might like it compared to other horror films. I'm giving it a go anyway

Saw ll

I liked the concept of people trapped in a house with booby traps everywhere.

The end of every Saw film has a twist and the one in 2 is the best by far. My mouth dropped first time.

Cal.
06-07-2016, 07:22 PM

It would have been better as a trilogy.

you'll enjoy the 2nd the most, it's easily the most competitive.

Jamie89
06-07-2016, 07:37 PM
Apparently they're making another one, not sure if it's just a rumour but I think I remember seeing an interview with the makers saying they're rebooting it.

Jason.
06-07-2016, 07:40 PM
Saw went on too long. IA it should've just been a trilogy

Drew.
06-07-2016, 08:04 PM
The 1st one is an iconic movie. The 2nd is the best one though, The Final Chapter was good as well

Yeah from the bits I've heard/seen it's the one I'm most looking forward to!

Been watching 1 just now, enjoying it so far! It'll be over before BB  I'll post my thoughts here after!

Cal.
06-07-2016, 08:17 PM

Omg you weren't lying about the ending having a twist :o I didn't see the ending of 1 coming at all

Also I just seen in the credits the guy who played Adam is also the guy who wrote the film? That's pretty cool!

One of the most chilling movie endings

Jake.
07-07-2016, 08:24 PM
the bit with Amanda and the needles is probably one of the most uneasy scenes in all 7 films

number 6 is really good as well imo

Lostie!
07-07-2016, 09:25 PM
It's between the first two. The mystery element of the first, since it's before we know who Jigsaw is, probably wins it for me and the twist is the most iconic and memorable of the whole series.

Haven't watched them all but for me the first one was really good, all I have watched of them since the first one not so.

I don't particularly rate the others and I've not seen 6. 7 is absolute ŠHITĖ though.

6 is actually really good. Nothing on the first 3 but definitely the best in the second half of the franchise.

This thread is so odd. Saw 8 was announced to start shooting in September today after 6 years of speculation.

I've watched both 2 and 3 now, I think out all of them 2 is my favourite because I liked the concept of them all trapped in the house and the twist left me shook.

However 3 was also good and kind of wrapped the story up, Lin's head exploding :(

I like a few of them but think 6 is very under-rated and one of the better ones in the series. Shame 7 was terrible

Finished all the movies now, I really enjoyed them tbh!

Idk whether we were supposed to hate Amanda and Jill or not but I absolutely loved them

Watched Saw 2 last night and Saw the night before. I'm going to re-watch all of them because I haven't seen them in years.

I forgot how much I loved the first two films. Especially Saw 2

I watched Saw 2 and Saw last night. Both great, think I prefer the first one though. It was more of a story, and was truly gripping, and the ending, in particular the scene where Lawrence cuts his foot off is probably one of the most intense scenes in film of all time.

1 because I watched it in the cinema with my lesbian friends

Saw II easily the best. I think the first one was pretty good from what I can remember and 3 might've been ok. Stopped watching after the 4th or 5th one because it got pretty bad.

Jake.

6 is up there with the best
