View Full Version : Losing Weight

LEE

I have been meaning to post this up for ages, but I am trying to lose weight at the moment and am doing really well.

I remember Janette saying how good Slimming World was last year, and one of my Devotees friends also said how good they were, so I decided to give them a try.

I went to my first meeting about 6 weeks ago and weighed in at 13st 3lbs :bawling:

I am now 12st exactly - 1st 3lbs in 6 weeks is not bad going  I'm really pleased.

I still have a way to go as I would like to get back down to about 10 and a half, which is what I used to be, so am aiming to lose 3 stone in total.

I went public with this on Devotees several weeks ago and everyone is supporting me and giving me incentive to carry on.

I already feel so much better and more confident in my appearance and am so glad I started doing this.

I'll keep you posted on how I'm doing. Please nag me if I don't, and please tell me off if you think I'm slipping in my resolve.

I'm determined to do this.

I'm starting to lose all the pounds i have put on over the years and i feel so good about myself. I started going to slimming world when i was 12 and it worked really well to start with but then i just started putting it all back on. I have tried everysingle diet that there is out there and none have worked - untill now! I call it the plain and simple diet!

Good Breakfast
Good Lunch +
Good Dinner
(with not much imbetween!)

Drink lots of water eat lots of fruit and most importantly lots of exercise!

I have around three stone or more to lose but i don't have any scales so i'm going to get some when i next get paid! but frightened might turn into Bridget Jones obbsessionist!

Good Luck Lee i'm right here with you I'm aiming to lose it before i start uni in september!
Let's keep each other posted xxxxxxxxxxx

I was being really good at the end of last year and lost a stone, but then when I did my back in and had an enforced period of 'laziness' as OH puts it I put it all back on again, but I SHALL LOSE IT, I am unanimous in that.

Started again last week following holiday in Cornwall and lost 4lbs so must keep going.

Best of luck to everyone else.

WE CAN DO IT, WE ARE MADE OF STERN STUFF US TIBBers.:elephant::elephant::elephant:

Only lost a pound this week. Still I must admit that it was better than I thought I had done cos I had been a bit naughty and eaten stuff I shouldn't have and probably drunk too much as well

This week is going to be a nightmare as I have my mad friends Mary and Jet staying and we are doing some serious partying with a certain Mr Hadley, so I am not looking forward to the next weigh-in lol.

I have warned my Slimming World consultant though and she said, and I quote.. 'Go for it, but just make sure you do something really scandalous to make it all worthwhile'

So in other words - it's all her fault.

A few years ago I was an avid gym addict and used to go and work out every day. It was when other commitments took over and I stopped going that I put all my weight on.

I can't afford gym membership at the mo, though I really wish I could, but I do try to exercise a reasonalble amount. I have an exercise bike which I go on in the mornings and I always try to walk places etc...

All in all, I'm ot too bad.

Moment of truth time again, LEE! You didn't think I'd let you forget, did you?

LEE
02-05-2003, 10:19 AM
No Kaz, Slimming World didn't fit into the schedule this week  however I was brave enough to weigh myself this morning

Now I don't know how I have managed to do this cos you really DO NOT want to know how much alcohol I have drunk this week, but I have lost another pound

...and where was I at 7pm last night when I should have been weighing in? I was sitting having a drink and waiting for Tone to turn up, in the same pub that he was filmed in on that clip that they showed on the Reborn final

Well done lee all these pounds soon add up. you've done really well to lose some every week some times you get weeks where you stick to the same as the week before and it makes you feel down but if you get any weeks like that dont worry it makes you even more determind to do better the next week.Although looking at your photos last week it doesent look like you have got any weight to lose.

Kaz

I have just got back from my Slimming World meeting after missing the last 2 weeks.

I am still in a state of shock, because after my 2 weeks of partying, excesses of alcohol, and eating all sorts of things I shouldn't, I have managed to lose 3.5lbs

I had been dreading it, I was convinced I would have put on weight and I couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scales and she said how much I had lost.

I think I must have just been running on adrenalin for 2 weeks and it has counteracted everything else lol

I would recommend the Tony Hadley diet to anyone lol

Kaz
15-05-2003, 08:37 PM
Well done, LEE! :hello:

Well Done Lee! You're doing great! I started (again) my diet last Monday. I've stuck to it really well and have lost 5lbs!!!! I'm well chuffed although I know the weight loss will slow down next week. What I'm even more amazed with is that I've lost 2ins off the top of my thigh! Where does it all go? Well somehow I managed to lose 1.5lbs this week.

I suppose I haven't been too bad this week, but I have been finding it quiet difficult to get back into it again after my few weeks off of partying and excess. My will power seems to have gone.

I want to lose at least another stone so I am relying on you guys to nag me.

And Janette - you've done it once, you can do it again!

Suggestion - go and buy yourselves some fantastic clothes two sizes smaller than you are now - I am told it is a great incentive.

Much better than OH making comments such as "I thought you were on a diet - why are you eating your second pudding" when you are out for dinner. OR

"What are you going to do with those clothes you bought the other week if you lose weight"

I am trying, but it is hard and I am afraid I have very little resistance - show me a gooey pudding and I am a push over.

BUT YOU GO GIRLS YOU KNOW YOU CAN DO IT.:thumbs:

Its a good idea BusyBee, but as well as this I have a whole wardrobe I'm trying to slim back into.

I'm really pleased though cos the size 16 jeans I was so thrilled to get back into a few weeks ago are already a bit loose, and I tried on the dress I so wanted to wear to go to the Derby in next weekend and it actually fitted lol  All I've got to so now is find a hat lol
