This is incorrect as during frontal rain the coverage is universal over large areas, it could be true during showers but its unlikely that you would consistently be in the correct area

This is going to sound so sad but it depends how I'm feeling- like I like Coke in the UK and I also like Pepsi, but it's weird. Pepsi hits the spot more if it's really hot I think and when I was in Italy in 40c I couldn't find it anywhere :(
