I thought at first it might be another "poor me, I'm famous and get photographed a lot" type thing, but it's actually a great read and she speaks a lot of sense about body image, self worth, and the general objectification of women etc...

We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone.

We don’t need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own “happily ever after” for ourselves.

I'm not keen on her but I do agree with what she is saying here, the paps are relentless and intrusive,I know some celebs court them but there must be a line drawn.

If you want to be a famous movie star - with all the wealth and trappings that attracts - you have to get used to the attention. If you want to be an actress and not be bothered by paparazzi, be the finest stage actress the world has ever seen and no one will be bothered taking your pic.

I agree with all of this and tend to think the same thing myself when celebrities complain about media attention, however this particular blog stood out to me because I think what she's getting at, isn't so much about the effect it has on her personally (although obviously she's drawing on her own experiences as examples) but it's more about the impact that the way in which women tend to get written about, has on other people, mainly young girls and women, and what she's doing with this blog is giving a positive message to those people, which I find really admirable.

Yeah, I see that, Jamie. But I didn't hear her beating that particular drum when when every girl in the world wanted the Rachel haircut.

:joker: A cutting remark! But I mean yes, she's no campaigner or anything, and she's undoubtedly used the media for her own gain, but I'm alright with a bit of mild hypocrisy if it does some good
