Fine so far apart from having that waste of space Boris Johnson in such a high profile position as Foreign Secretary.
That is just ridiculous and hardly fits in with her jibe at him for being only able to negotiate 3 water cannons.
That appointment in my view is a big mistake, she should have thought and considered that position a good bit longer since he is what she came up with.

She is only able to move this fast because she has not had to fight a leadership election properly in the Conservative party.
She has been put there only by 199 Conservative MPs out of 330,no one else.
So she should be moving fast, she has had no opposition to her whatsoever really.
That may be good for her but it's bad for democracy and the UK as a whole, who have had no say at all in this.

Osborne is a loss, he'd have been well suited to the Trade role that Liam Fox has been appointed to. Don't rate Hammond much either - seems to have no real views or vision of his own but he'll toe the line I suppose. Boris as foreign secretary.. well god knows how that is going to go.

I actually agree with you on this, I would have used Osborne for all the contacts and good relations he has built up over his 6 years as Chancellor in some other role.
Such as the one you suggest.

Getting rid of Osborne is symbollic and probably necessary. He goes hand in hand with Cameron, unfortunately for him. They want to at least create the illusion of a "clean slate" Tory government, wash their hands of everything that came before and during the referrendum, both for the benefit of the GBP and to be able to say "You're dealing with this NEW government now" when trying to reforge international relationships.
Osborne being there in any capacity would firmly anchor them in the Tory-LibDem 2010+ era. He had to go.

Fecxking RIGHT
they can always come back at a later date. TM must believe they would not be suitable for the cabinet at this point. For example, something clearly went down between Boris and Gove, so the last thing she needs is cabinet ministers scoring points off each other. Its not just about individuals, its about how they work as a team.
Theresa was supposed to be the continuity candidate though, the 'safe pair of hands', but here she is already breaking down Cameron's government bit by bit

I'm cautiously optimistic - the appointment of the 3 Brexiteers - Davis, Johnson and Fox is definitely a promising start.
David Davis is a man of principle and we need more of that in government. You can't deny that Boris is an interesting character and a well known personality worldwide. I think it's a great appointment.
Glad to see the back of Gideon Osborne, he's damaged goods and there's no place in government for someone who talks the country down. But I am disappointed she's sacked Gove, I think that's a petty childish mistake.
Good riddance to dullard Nicky Morgan, she was absolutely useless as education secretary. Hunt getting the sack was inevitable - they need a way to resolve things with the junior doctors.
I don't think that Amber Rudd is the right person for home secretary - I think she's too strident.
I'm just waiting to see who will be looking after transport. And could Leadsom get culture secretary?
The proof will be in the pudding but I am quietly optimistic at this stage.

The Washington Post publishes a round-up of "undiplomatic" things Mr Johnson has said during his time in public life.
"To be sure, Johnson is an unusual candidate for the job. The former journalist is known for his deliberately provocative manner, ruffled appearance and penchant for sometimes-insulting commentary," it says.
It reminds its readers that just two months ago, "a poem he concocted about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan having sexual congress with a goat won the first-place prize in a contest sponsored by Spectator magazine."

Very disappointing that Jeremy Hunt has remained health secretary, she has I fear opened up her first major confrontational issue as to him and the Junior Doctors.
Then again, she brought great controversy to her dealings with the Police and other important services,so maybe this is one she wants to support him on.
A big mistake that in my view.
I am dismayed at Stephen Crabb leaving Works and Pensions,he had begun to seemingly bring some hope back for better treatment of the sick, disabled and most vulnerable, that to me is likely out the window now with Damien Green.
Obviously give her a chance but the change of names in Departments and the ones that have stayed such as Hunt, just looks like a hardline start to her premiership, with any real and genuine hopes of uniting the UK out the window as to the major appointments.

'The decision to abolish the Department for Energy and Climate Change has been variously condemned as “plain stupid”, “deeply worrying” and “terrible” by politicians, campaigners and experts.
One of Theresa May’s first acts as Prime Minister was to move responsibility for climate change to a new Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.
Only on Monday, Government advisers had warned of the need to take urgent action to prepare the UK for floods, droughts, heatwaves and food shortages caused by climate change.
The news came after the appointment of Andrea Leadsom – who revealed her first question to officials when she became Energy Minister last year was “Is climate change real? – was appointed as the new Environment Secretary.'

I judge people on what I see of them,I do not know him so can judge at this time only what he has done as a Minister, and he has not made any attempt at all to discredit or seemingly punish any further people who are sick, disabled and most vulnerable.
Not a bit since taking on the position after Ian Duncan Smith, who did in reality punish people for daring to be ill, disabled and vulnerable.
If anything is proven against him then maybe I will alter my thinking of him but all I have seen him do is try to help more and allay the fears of same, as to the sick and disabled.
That after the heartlessness of Ian Duncan Smith is and will remain to his credit in my view.
After over 5 years of the sick and disabled being demonized, discriminated against and used to save pittances,if there ever were any real savings in the end.
However who she has replaced Crabb with gives me concern again for those groups of people.

That's always been a pretty misleading claim. The book was written 11 years ago primarily by Douglas Carswell which 22 other Conservatives contributed to. The whole book was only 100 pages with the part on the NHS only 7 pages and he has said that he did not have any involvement in that section. It was a small, irrelevant pamphlet which floated a few ideas around but thats it.
