They don't show like a little recap in most of their shows, like for PLL and Scream they don't and on TV in America they have a recap segment at the beginning of the episodes, so why do they cut it out?
Anyone else find this a little annoying, it makes me forgot stuff.

I hate recaps and "coming up" segments. Waste of screen time imo.

But they're designed for week/months long gaps between episodes.
With something like Netflix it's almost like having the DVDs, if you can't remember you can go back and refresh yourself. Not much need for recaps.
Although for some shows like Orange is the New Black they have videos that recap a whole season in a few minutes.

I don't really like recaps unless somethings from s1 is gonna be dug up.

Also recaps kind of spoon things for me coz I've successfully guessed what would happen in the episode by putting two and two together.

This.
When a random death scene from 2 seasons ago is recapped you know that character is going to show up alive. :fist:

Youtube has a feature where you can watch videos at 1.25, 1.5 or x2 speed. I wish Netflix did that more than anything

Yeah most people binge watch so it'd be annoying/pointless to have a "previously on" segment, they're for network shows which have a gap between episodes.

That's what I want it for, network shows.
Not their own show but for the ones they air weekly.

But the previous episodes are right there in the list next to the new episode to be viewed if you want to.
Recaps are for live television which doesn't have the benefit of you skipping to whatever episode/part you like.

Oh :worry:
I still think it's because they know many people binge watch on Netflix so recaps aren't as necessary as when the show airs weekly.
They keep the recaps for some shows though like Drag Race but automatically skip it if you watch episodes back to back.

House of Cards had them in the first two seasons IIRC, and they definitely still do a 'previously' recap of the last season for the premiere of the new one

Actually I think I'm thinking of the pre titles scene, sometimes they had one and sometimes they didn't
They do recap the last season on the first episode though, I'm sure of that
