So I'm going to Italy on Sunday and my passport runs out like Mid august, I will be back in like the 2nd August, should this be ok?

Probably fine but if its a 10 year passport i think you can apply to have it extended.

If your passport runs out after the 2nd august you should be okay, but get a new one when you get back its not needed but its better to get it done then rather stressing about it in the future.

This is for places such as USA where you need a visa

What would be the point in it being unable to be used 6 months before expiry date for everywhere...whats the point of an expiry date if thats not the case :p

Ok i'm thinking of going on one of them late deals in like september, So will need to renew it soon.

Why on earth not? We booked a holiday the day before the flight left and managed to get a week in benidorm for 4 people for 300 quid overall. Later you leave it, the better the deal is :D
