Yorkshire people are the most British with 41% Anglo Saxon DNA.
The East Midlands is mainly Scandanavian and London is the most Diverse.The Welsh are infact mainly Spanish and Portuguese.The Scots are mainly Finnish and North West Russian.

Ahhh... that famous and well-respected scientific journal, the Daily Mail.
It's in the Times and various others too.The Mail was the most comprehensive from what i saw.It was conducted by the Ancestry website.

Yes maybe i worded it slightly wrong
'People living in Scotland have the highest amount of Finnish/Northwest Russian heritage (1.31 percent), which is perhaps explained by their geographic proximity.
Welsh residents have the highest proportion of ancestry from the Iberian Peninsula (three percent).'

England - East of England British (36.29%), Europe West (22.52%), Irish (17.46%), Scandinavia 9.71%), Iberian Peninsula (3.43%), Eastern Europe (2.03%), Italy/Greece (2.53%), European Jewish (1.61%)

I'm surprised it's not the West Midlands tbh as the black country accent is often noted as being the closest dialect to old english that's still around and in use.

Hehe, when we were all studying Chaucer at school, our teacher got us all to read it in a thick West Country accent, as that's what she thought was closest to Old English. I might have fun now re-reading with Black Country :D

the welsh on average are darker than the irish and scots thats for sure...and i do look a bit like bespectacled jose mourinho on a bad day lol
