I said his name to my Dad when I read the rumoured lineup out and he kind of gave me this shocked look and said "well they can look out in there, he loves an argument!" so I'm intrigued

I don't think he has to do it, unlike some of the unknown celebs. :D
Maybe James still craves publicity...

He has two radio shows, I think.
One is recorded and the other is freelance work for the BBC...
They must be giving him time off. Unless he hopes to get a TV job after this.

He's one of the very few celebs on Twitter not up their own who actually personally responds to tweets.

His radio shows always kept you listening. I spent many times parked back on my driveway, but unable to leave the car because i was still hooked into his debates.
Didn't always agree with him but he was a proper, no frills talk show host and great to listen to.

in his earlier days he had something to say and i liked listening to him late at night
as he progressed, he became more of a political animal and i lost interest, especially after he bounced around the idea of standing as a UKIPer which he didn't in the end. still, he's a man with views and intellect, even if i don't always agree with him and sometimes find myself on opposite sides of the fence to him! at least he's not vapid. mabe going through kidney cancer has rounded his outlook on some things.
Edges on arrogance
oh he could be a right so and so - i want to see how he deals with some of the numpties going in
I used to watch the James Whale radio show, when it had a stint on late night TV, back in t 90s.
Bit of a dik, if I may be so bold?
