View Full Version : sam fox walks in and the room stops dead.
Did you see how the room just stopped and everyone just sort of bowed to sam when they greeted her.
Half the housemates didn't even move for most of the latecomers but when sam walked in............
The mob wife even telling her how she was brought up on her.

They, like me, thought she was dead.

:joker: that will explain the rumbling mess in the mob wives ski pants:joker:

Everything the other girls in there are trying to do today, Sam Fox did it first and without the surgeons knife or Botox, 30 years ago. I don't think at the time there was anyone in the country who didn't know who Sam Fox was.

Every time I see this thread title, I think it's the start of a joke and the punch line is waiting for me on the inside...

She's very well-known in the US, too. :)

I'm sorry but everyone is saying how famous she is, but if you're not born in the 80's, then you literately have no idea who she is. She was a hit in the 80's so somebody born in '98 has no idea who she is and wouldn't consider her to be famous

I think it's expected that the last one is the big one. Though for me her music which got her more fame outside the UK isn't very good.

I didn't realise that Clootie....I knew she was big in Germany and a lot of other European countries....if she was also well known in the states then I would say she is the biggest star in the house tbh
Never liked her music and wasn't interested in her body but always liked her personality and how grounded she was. Got a soft spot for her.

Samantha Fox is well known worldwide, she's an 80s icon. I was born in the early 90s and I know her. Not long ago she even came for a gig here in Israel.
Well she certainly garners respect when she walks in a room.

How did you know of her because all of her main work her modelling and singing was in the 80's. So how would anyone born after that time know her

Because it's those things you know. Like Pamela Anderson, Cindy Lauper. Even if you don't know their "work", you know their names.

Just because some people (like yourself) hasn't heard of her doesn't mean she's not famous or well-known.
It just means YOU haven't heard of her.
Have you heard of
Cole Porter
John Lennon
Marc Bolan
Clare Grogan
David Essex
Andy Williams
Or what about
Tears for Fears
The Cure
Adam & the Ants
Showaddywaddy
The Pretenders
The Cult
New Model Army
The Alarm

Surely that mob wife is far older than Sam?

To me, people like Pamela Anderson and Cindy Lauper are like actual name brands, I just haven't heard of Sam Fox

Out of those, I know John Lennon, David Essex, the cure and Adam and the Ants. To me, if they were big from the 80's they have to be pretty special and to basically be name brands. Soz if i sound rude or obnoxious but Sam Fox is not as big of a name brand as people like Pamela Anderson

At first sight, she seems so lovely, and seems to have just the right amount of humour and feistiness.

It's a long time since I've seen her on anything, but you've pretty much summed up my thoughts about how I found her to be.
Let's see if they still bow to her when she's had a drink

I hope she goes far because she could well become one of my favourites, even though there are a strong bunch of females this year
