Showmances are very unpopular on Reality TV Shows.

When Big Brother used to be less Showmance obsessed Love Island could only wish to get half of Big Brother's ratings.

However since Big Brother has become more Showmance obsessed it's now got Love Island's ratings.

The difference is most were popular housemates on their own, they didn't need a showmance to get air time, also two of those couples went on to have a long lasting relationship beyond the house
