Yes! I use it all the time! I've spent so much money on it recently :shame:

Uber Executive is life, I love it! Especially the free bottle of water.

I've done about 30 journeys.

It's like a few pound different, I think like an £8 journey with Uber X would become like £11 with Exec.

But I've noticed you can get the same cars with X and Exec, so just use X really.

I always get paranoid when I set the pickup location as I worry the driver won't be able to pull up

Using Uber is really fun though, you'll love it.

It's just the whole 'stranger can be hired quickly' thing that irks me but it's not that different to taxi is it?

I'll only be able to use it in London because it is available around here but not near me if that makes sense

Yeah, it can be worrying but I think because it's in London I don't mind and feel safe ish because there always so many people around.

The drivers I had are very passionate and you can tell they love driving

I think maybe they treat children with more care probably because of the whole thing about it not being safe, like they ask how are you are etc.

The one time I used it with an adult (dad), the driver didn't say anything and was very quiet.

Do your payments go through properly all the time? I read it's only for 18+ or something

I use my dads card, I could theatrically use it whenever I wanted and never need his card with me.

The first time I wanted to use it, I needed his card to scan and I didn't have it

But after the card is scanned once, then you can use all the time without having the card present as the details remain stored.

Once a journey finishes you just have to rate the experience out of 5, and payment goes through automatically, you don't have to do anything.

Oh and your journey you get free, well I did.

I think it's up to £15, which is around 20 min journey.

If you have to spend £3 extra for Exec the bottled water is not free honey.

You're being robbed.

Maybe you should worry more or be more aware of your surroundings. You might walk in front of a car or something

You'll just give yourself a heart attack with all the stress. I'm very aware of my surroundings and I don't feel the need to scaremonger on a forum, lol. Something tells me the gang members aren't after Mr. Tom* from thisisbigbrother.com.

I don't trust getting in a car with a stranger, would freak me out!

To add to this my friend, went in a uber car after a night out, the guy was making a convo with her and he started to get more creepy and creepy with his talking making sexual remarks. When the car stopped at her house he locked the doors and try to make a move on her. Lucky she was able to push him away and the left car door in the back wasn't unlocked (the door she was next to) so she ran out.

I don't think I'll ever trust uber tbh

their drivers and cars are NOT registered NOT regulated NOT checked by the local councils their meters Their safety checks are NOT the same as all other drivers and taxis, they are NOT calibrated like all taxis so you may be charged way more 3 days later when they debir your card

I LOVE Uber, but it's addictive which is bad cause towards the end of this last uni year I was using it up to three or four times a day :worry:

I expect it's far more expensive in London though but if you're willing to pay you shouldn't be disappointed. Re: picking a car, we only have X available but every driver I speak to is really friendly and talkative and on a couple of occasions I've been asked if I want the radio station changed, one guy even told me to tell him if I wanted the temperature changed  I also got offered water and chocolate by another. And if you're lucky enough to get in a car with Spotify enabled you can play your own music via Bluetooth which is fun

I don't worry too much about unregistered drivers either but I think that's more of an issue in the bigger cities (sorry oop), most of the ones I speak to defected from the other minicab company which had a monopolised stranglehold over the market, and the complaints are all the same - that they have their favourite drivers and give them the better jobs, they get treated awfully and they have to do shifts whereas with Uber they clock on and off when they want, it finds you the nearest car which is better for the customer as well as them and the clientele is a lot better

Flag one down? Babe he isn't going to New York. Also uber is so much cheaper, it's stupid to use a normal Cah when the option is there.
