I am not at all surprised that they had to run a positive ad' campaign segment on BB to explain to people like me why Paul isn't a total ****.
He sure seems it. But, after his family and friends assured us he is a lovely little thing I was convinced that I was seeing the game-playing Paul - a fine man prepared to play hardball to get his mother the Bentley that she thinks she deserves (why?).

So I was all good about his constant lying and manipulation until I saw his taped message to Da' at the end of the episode.

Why make a tape that disgraces himself (and Da') by continuing to pretend that he didn't know she was going to be voted out??

Yea, OK, he wanted Bridgette to go, but he just should not have been there on that vid' shrugging his shoulders and claiming that he didn't know what happened - unnecessary lies after the fact should be an eviction offense, or at least make him shave that absurd beard off for charity. :amazed:

you make the most terrible excuses for people's ****ty personalities on this show. This is the second time.

Paul continuing to play dumb was kinda funny though.

Don't ask silly questions then. You literally asked 'why make a tape that disgraces himself (and Da') by continuing to pretend that he didn't know she was going to be voted out??' and the answer is because Day is a juror and by pretending he didn't shaft her, he doesn't run the risk of burning her jury vote

It's quite simple and has nothing to do with ****ty personalities. Jury management is basic Big Brother

Also if you have a problem with ****ty personalities may I politely suggest BBUS isn't the show for you

I can see that you don't watch the show very closely.

He had Bridgette bring him a custom-made sandwich on the pretext that he was her friend and had her back....he lied - she probably knew. He spiked Michelle's drink with some harmless fun substance because he knows she is unstable. Do you actually think anybody who goes around saying 'friendship' every 2 seconds is sincere at all?? I'm not even watching that closely myself but I can see him for what he is.

Am I the only one who thinks that Paul continuing to lie about Day's eviction is only going to solidify that she doesn't vote for him to win? There's literally no way the HOH would be aware of a 6-2 "blindside" and all it takes is for one of the next jurors to arrive at the jury house and fill Day in on everything.

Oh and, my point isn't that he is a bad player at all - he's one of the greatest game playing villains of all time. If there is ever an All Stars Heroes v Villains he should be 1st pick.

My point is not only that we can see what a two-faced person he is, but also just how confident he is in being that kind of asshat. Just not cool on the sweet-spot for me.

Boring jumper by the way.

No I agree with this. I could even see the entire jury being bitter towards him because I could see him playing it the same way throughout the season.

Yes, I agree completely. I think he just didn't need to over-play like that - it is definitely an aspect of a villainous person!

I liked him when he was an underdog but not ever after. The problem with much of this style of BB is the sucking up element.

Also I still don't get what he has against Bridgette, it makes no sense. On Survivor people often try realignments, but not here.

Yeah Day is not an idiot she's not falling for his I had no idea what they were going to do act. If anything it would hurt his chances of winning not help it.

The problem with much of this style of BB is the sucking up element.

by "this style", I wonder if you mean where housemates must talk about nominations to be even playing, and at the same time have a lot of dialogue about "trust"? to be honest, it's impossible to get inside the psychology of that unless you've been in the house I'd guess. But, the way people interact is just sooo messed-up as Bridgette said (to Paulie?) when she left the house.
and wtf is Zakiyah thinking about dating Paulie outside the house? That girl is an idiot wherever she goes.

Do the house mates know the order of things outside the house when one of them gets the boot? If not, Paul could have made that tactless and tactically pointless goodbye message just in case Da' got the round-trip ticket.
Either way, it isn't the play-style of a wonderful human being, but he is a bit of a :dazzler:

Yeah, I forgot she could have returned with the round trip ticket. I guess that was the reason for it and honestly that's a good idea to lie in the goodbye message then.

I think the OP was reacting to the constant lies carried on to the point of diminishing returns. There's a thin line between playing the game to win and how the game is played.

Maybe it's still not a good idea though, or at least no diff. - she would have still found out when she went back into the house...same either way.

Anyway, these evictions are based on who is and is not most like the others.
