I know the argument coming and I respect people liking the anarchy but I'm finding him so boring and contrived, if it was more natural naughtiness I'd find it fun but he's literally trying to bully people and he's blatantly intimidating other housemates which will in turn lead to people surprising their personality.
I'm just bored of him.

I've heard quite a few people say this now and loads of others are on the verge of giving up purely because of him. This series has become a chore to watch because of him

Agreed. The whole vibe of the show is unenjoyable. And if I see him and Chloe swapping tongues much longer I will just switch off. I've got a pile of library books to read, much better way to spend my time.

He would be better if the production gave out a few episodes that didn't focus so heavily on him, I highly recommend not seeing the same Housemate in every episode.

Personally, I think he's dominating not intimidating. The HM's who don't like him are just playing the victim card.

You're right, I mean they are only kissing I don't understand it either why they need to show so much, one shot is enough not so many.

That's my point.
His entertaining, but calm down on the usage of him a little bit is my advice to the producers.

He's one of those year 9 boys who would do immature antics to me and my friends and then we would reject them.
It's truly embarrassing he's still in that mindset, it's cringe to realise grown men actually behave that way
just immature like LOL he drew a dick omg.. SO FUNNY!! OMG WHAT A LEGEND.

He's tedious.
My favourite moment of tonight was Katie and Ricky dancing in the storeroom and I'd love to see more of those house relationships rather than Bear desperately seeking attention.
I do enjoy drama in BB and I've actually been enjoying the series unlike most here but I haven't enjoyed Bear as an individual. He's actually been one of my main sources of annoyance.

Yes, I'm in agreement with those who are finding him tedious. Sadly, having watched every BB and CBB since the very first one, I can honestly say this is the first time ever that I have been tempted to switch off. :( The only reason I haven't is out of loyalty to the show, and in the hope that we begin to see more of other housemates and storylines.
And, although I can predict that some will say that no-one else is doing anything interesting, we cannot know that if we do not see it. In fact, just like when 'big' characters left in civilian BB this year, other characters came to the fore and more interesting storylines developed as a result, I am sure the same would happen in this case. How I am missing that series.
Unfortunately, the focus on Bear (who is very one-dimensional) means we are basically watching the same thing every night- Bear winding someone up and enjoying the misery he causes. Therefore, each episode feels so predictable, and this is what makes it boring.
If his wind-ups were comical and amusing, I might find him entertaining. Unfortunately, his wind-ups are just unpleasant, and to me this isn't entertainment and it isn't enjoyable.
In my opinion, the only truly entertaining moment Bear has given us was his response to the security guard in the diary room.

Hes genuinely made this the worst series ever. I cant remember a worse one.
...from things that other housemates have said and quite a few occasions, he's obviously dominating the house vibe and mood so he's dominating the HL shows as well..I don't think that's ever a good thing/to have one person negatively dominating or conducive to a healthy house, so there is very little else other than negativity atm and very little likability...that's awful really I think for fans because it's so hard to find a favourite with all of the actions and reactions etc being all pretty grim and having a favourite and getting behind a housemate is a huge part of it....and his character is just very one dimensional as well with how he's being so it's not sustaining any form of interest for me...

..(I think..)..that it's becoming a show that Bear would want it to be, about him../...rather than him fitting into and being part of a show that we want it to be and why we watch it.../obviously it's not the same for everyone but that's how I'm feeling anyway...

He has his place certainly for me, I agree he makes it less boring.
I guess without him we would likely only have Lewis and Marnie under a duvet most nights in the highlights.
Or worse,Ricky, hardly doing anything at all.
A good number of housemates do lots of things to get attention and airtime in all BB series,it is not their fault that BB zoom in on that and fill the highlights with what most of those then do.
Remember,BB record everything every day,the highlights are what BB themselves deem to be the very best from the housemates there to put forward to the viewing public.
The housemates cannot say at all, don't show this or that.

People said BB17 would be boring without Marco and look what happened, the walking sti incubator left and the series got so much better, loud obnoxious characters aren't the be all and end all of the show, if Bear left it would give other people the opportunity to come out of their shell and shine, the sooner Bear goes, the sooner we get more interesting characters and dynamics come to the forefront, he needs gone.

Firstly, how can you say Ricky would be doing nothing at all- you cannot know that when, as you yourself correctly say that 'a good number of housemates do lots of things to get attention and airtime' and 'BB zoom in on that and fill the highlights with what most of those then do'.
You are correct in the comments I have quoted, but that is exactly why we don't know what other housemates are doing. They are all doing something but we are just not getting the opportunity to see it because of the attention seeking few, and because, unfortunately, BB are choosing to focus on them instead.
Liam's post which follows yours sums up the benefits of losing attention seeking characters by highlighting what happened each time one of them went in this year's civilian BB.

Ricky is coming across as an intelligent, sensitive and considerate person to me, particularly on the live feed, so I'm quite liking him and would be happy to see more of him. From what I've seen I could understand the potential he has to win. Aren't these exactly the same qualities that you liked in Jason in civilian BB, and what made you champion him so strongly?
Can I just ask what it is you are seeing as fake, as I'm not sure if I've missed something?

Bear is one of the most memorable and talked about housemates of all time ...add to that mix the Biggins disaster and this will prob be considered one of the most memorable and talked about CBBs too.

His type bore me TBH .... He's doing what Aubrey does but keeping the big blue eyed boy routine at same time ...not a very successful combination usually...Bear said in first two days he thinks Ricky is too nice and I think he was right ... If everyone likes you then you're doing something wrong.

Eastenders probably Chuff.
I do think he could win this on the strength of that.
Don't get me wrong I also quite like him and did in Eastenders when I watched it.
As a housemate however, even when he is on I cannot think of a single thing he has done that is of any note.
Even last night when dancing with Katie in the stockroom,I was concentrating more on her just to see if she remembered the words of the song they were singing.

I agree with you. He isn't funny 'haha'...people are the butt of his jokes. I love a wind up but he takes it to a different level. If people don't find his 'jokes' funny he starts getting personal and intimidating and it's no longer a joke.
People that find that funny I would love to see them as the butt of one of his jokes...it's not funny to watch and it wouldn't be funny being his 'victim'.
He is a bully and he is far from funny.

He's coming across as a slithering creep ,he only has an opinion in the diary room ....sneaky little man
But how does that make him fake? :conf3: This just strikes me as someone who isn't interested in confrontation or inflaming what is already an uncomfortable and quite volatile situation for everyone. That doesn't make him fake.
And is this any different than Bear clearly stating his hatred of Aubrey in the diary room and then going into the house and pretending all is fine and being friendly. Surely that is much more sneaky?  There is, therefore, an irony in your comments.
By following your theory, Bear should have gone back in and had it out with Aubrey there and then- however, he chose not to, so I am guessing this also makes him fake?
Many housemates choose to share certain thoughts and opinions only in the diary room, either as an outlet for their emotions or to reveal something to BB or the viewers- isn't that the whole point of the diary room?
I am still not seeing any convincing evidence that Ricky is fake.
