I think there's more to the resentment of Bear than this. I don't particularly like him but he showed how shallow her claims were of friendship and trust when she knew about the spitting incident. Methinks that people forget that women and men are pretty much the same... there's this perception that "dirty middle aged men" like perving on young girls whereas "dirty middle aged women" are immune from such things and only are attracted to "big strong men with money". renee seems to have a case of the vanessa's and chuffie's over this taiwanese knock-off action man, but i don't think she'd have done the dirty with him. it's a smack to her ego she can't have him, though, and her anger's more about his rejection of her having any hold over him in the house than the sexual element. i'm pretty sure she knows he has no interest in chloe other than as a tool to wind up colin and herself, and that's why she's calling him on it to let him know she knows. their interaction is on a whole other level to the chloe-bear nonsense.
