View Full Version : I don't understand the "say what you want, but we're all talking about them" argument

I don't understand this argument at all - especially when it's paired with Bear. The most I've seen people talking about Bear is to either complain about how he's taking up all the airtime or how he's dragging the series down. Just because a housemate is being talked about doesn't necessarily mean that it's a good thing.

(Just to clarify, this thread is about the argument being paired with Bear, but I still don't understand the argument in general. You could pair it with any other housemate and I still wouldn't get it).

Neither do I. Rylan always says it on BOTS  It's supposed to be the likeable people who go far- the show just uses that line to try and get people voting for their favourites e.g. Marc BB16, Helen BB15.

BTW, that arguments makes even less sense as it's the producers who basically decide who we talk about through their editing.

Bear is a problem because the producers won't stop showing him.

However on his own merits and not the production over showing him (even when Aubrey's spitting in his mouth) he has still contributed and still will contribute way more entertainment to this series than Ricky, Katie, Chloe, and Sam.

I can't see the reasoning that if someone is an utter tw.. (bear, lewis) that that will keep us watching? I have stopped watching BECAUSE of those two plonkers and reading other forums I'm not the only one.
