Bear's reality bravado actually slipped to "normal" in the fist half of that clip. He seemed genuinley hurt people were ignoring him :joker:

I don't think Bear dwells on most things that he does or that happen....when he's in the moment he's totally switched on but as soon as it's over it's forgotten....so he prob expects others to be the same ....only time I've seen him take it personally and not let it go is with Heavy D and Renee....and he had good reason. But take Frankie for example, when they were fighting in the garden, soon as it was over Bear was immediately laughing and friendly to Frankie again

It's a test...he's measuring them to see if theyre real....once they prove themselves he backs off and for the most part builds a friendship of sorts...he doesn't like Ricky cause he thinks hes not being genuine and I agree, he's not.
And of course, once someone pretends to be real and then betray him or his trust, then he really goes for them...Renee and Heavy.

The guy - Bear- is switched on and intelligent, his modus operandi is very similar to how he operates on the outside world but intensified as people cannot walk away so in no way does he have to temper his actions, to the contrary, he actually notches them up- it's all fun to him and in a days work.

I love the way that Ricky is squirming at everyone of Bear's actions- as if he has something better to offer, the arts, interesting, intellectual tete-a-tete- amusing anecdotes- Not a chance, all they are good at is back biting, the backstabbers.

Its also what has made this series boring to watch. No different characters same old behaviour. Perhaps this is made worse, because we had an absolutely cracking good civilian series that was cut short.
