Okay earlier today I went to my local shopping Centre, and I saw presumably a Mother come out of a Newsagents with her Daughter (who was about 3 years old) and a baby toddler in it's Pushchair (I didn't see what the baby looked like so I can't tell you the gender) and the Mother started drinking her Daughter's Oasis knowing that it was tormenting her Daughter who wanted a mouthful, and the Mother starts saying that "I've paid for this drink for you so I deserve a mouthful too!" I bet that you won't carry it though will you!" the Daughter then starts getting upset and the Mother gives her mouthful of the Oasis, the Mother then yells at her to "go!" in the way that she said it.
Maybe I'm being too soft here but I thought that the Mother was being cruel to her, what do you guys think based off what I've told you?

She wanted a drink from the Oasis and the kid kicked off so the parent let her know she paid for it. Hardly cruel. Kids can be little sh*ts.

What kind of mother buys their kids a sugary drink and then encourages it to drink out of the bottle.
Sounds like she was a bit frazzled, kids need telling off now and then:shrug:

It apparently was supposed to be the kids drink that the Mother was drinking out of.
Maybe it's worse seeing it than reading about it, but it was a lot nastier from the Mother than it's written I feel.

Don't really get the issue here...though personally if I buy a drink for the kids, its theirs...and I get myself one. The shouting, I completely get, having 2 the same ages as the ones you mention. In a perfect world we wouldn't shout at kids, however they can be annoying little things sometimes and respond to nothing else.

Maybe I've been sheltered, but it shocked me just because I've seen worse behaviour from my own Niece and Nephew that myself and other people have let them get away with, so when it comes to the drink meant for the kid and then the Mother is being spiteful about her having it, it just came off as cold to me.

It's a tough one Mock...you don't really know what kind of a day they've had. I try to not shout at my son (especially in public) because I know it looks awful but when you've had one of those days when they've pushed and pushed you it's impossible sometimes to not lose it...I've threatened to have mine adopted twice tonight and I've only been home from work for 2 hours lol.

They have been in bed 2 hours and are still not asleep, the room has been trashed 3 times, one of them looks like they are getting a black eye...and I just cannot be ****ing arsed with it anymore.
Meanwhile my takeaway is an HOUR late and they have no idea why or when it will get here and I am ****ing starving having no eaten for 2 days after being ill.

Should clarify the black eye is from the other child, or something the other child has thrown at them, not me. I don't smack them though am starting to think it may be the only way to control them to be quite honest...

Yep one of those days...he's spilt 2 drinks, bounced of every wall and is currently "looking" for something important in his room before he will go to sleep. I say looking...really it should be demolishing. I've just shut the door and am now contemplating heavy drinking on a school night.... Double trouble I think would kill me lol....
