Supergirl and The Flash are doing a musical crossover episode
No, for real. This is happening.

This is not a drill. Supergirl and The Flash will cross over once more, with feeling.

Showrunner Greg Berlanti announced at the TCA Press Tour today (August 11) that the two shows will join forces for a two-episode musical crossover.

"We have a number of people who can sing across all the shows who will be making appearances," Berlanti shared with reporters.

The songs featured will be largely pre-existing tracks, although "we have talked about trying to write at least one original song per episode".

Supergirl and The Flash's first crossover episode was a resounding success back in March, and we were promised at the time that they would meet again.

Now that Supergirl has migrated from CBS to join The Flash on The CW - which seemed like the obvious fit from the start - it will be easier than ever before to integrate Melissa Benoist's Kara with the rest of the DC TV universe.

The Flash season 3 premieres on October 4, followed by Supergirl season 2 on October 10.

Getting flashbacks to Glee's cringey superhero themed episode.

I think it's going to be really similar actually considering in Buffy they all started singing due to a demon. I'm assuming that there will be a metahuman who causes everyone to sing.

Some of it was sort of fun but some of it was abysmal. Minor spoiler

Most of it is set in a shared "dream" world with Flash and Supergirl in a coma in the real world... But at the end when it's all over, Barry sings to Iris in the real world and honestly... Anyone who thought Glenn getting his brains smashed in with a baseball bat was hard to watch will reconsider after seeing that.

I also love how they were like "OK so I know that Malcolm Merlin has so far had absolutely nothing to do with either The Flash OR Supergirl, but... let's rope in John Barrowman anyway because he sings." :joker:
