a clever dick...

In what sense? Nobody likes him in there, or, I fear, anywhere else. In a straight game, where the housemates were allowed to nominate without interference, and the voters got to decide, 'Heavy D' would have been first on the chopping block, no question.

Reasons might have included;

'Oh my God, it's like being cornered in a club by Mr Blobby!'

'He's a sweaty perv ... I divn't like the way he looks at us? Is he gonna hit us, or try ta tash on?'

Etc.

Perhaps you'd be right, Ian, if the circumstances were different.

When other HMs are so loathsome (Bear, Lewis, Marnie), HMs who would normally be nominated in a 'straight' game appear more appealing.

:clap1::clap1::clap1: So true Clootie. When the alternatives are so fecking DIRE, we gravitate towards the less dire by default.

Heavy D is positively MYTHICALLY HEROIC in comparison to Bear, Bloor and Marnie.

I hate to see anyone being belittled or cast aside like he's not important enough,takes me back to school days when if you weren't in a click you were a easy target to put down.

the problem with marnie,lewis,bear, is that their minds still think they have school ties on their necks, I quit school at 15 and I never looked back, I don't want to remember those crap days,
