Im sick of hearing Renee telling her lapdogs thats she's being picked on and spoken about ,then out come the fake tears

Agreed. Never watched any of her mobwives show but have read some of her back story regarding domestic abuse. Those tears seemed pretty emotional and I am not suggesting the pranks and goading are on the same level but they must be affecting her. If Bear supporters can justify his attention seeking behaviour, I fail to see why tears are seen as automatically fake. In her world, crying is a weakness so she stands to lose credibility by shedding them. Makes me think she is feeling genuinely vulnerable and frustrated.

I agree- they don't look like fake tears to me, and she seems in a genuine state of distress at the constant picking and goading. I don't know anything of her back story but if it's one of domestic abuse, then I can see why their behaviour would be affecting her so badly- she has actually hinted at this several times, particularly when she became angry with Aubrey in the bedroom as she was trying to explain her feelings.

I think that suggesting the tears are fake is an easy and insensitive way to excuse the unforgivable behaviour being directed at her by Bear, and in this case Heavy too. It allows Bear fans to avoid confronting the reality that his cruel behaviour just isn't funny, but is in fact, extremely damaging to others.

No doubt Bear fans will dismiss the long term-impact of domestic abuse and suggest that background is irrelevant as Bear and Heavy are not being violent. However, anyone who knows anything about domestic abuse will know it also comes with constant put-downs and criticism to undermine the confidence of the victim, and that their behaviour will feel intimidating to her, as she will have learnt to expect something much worse to follow.

Domestic abuse is not only physical- it involves mentally and emotionally wearing down of the victim. Anyone with that background would feel extremely uncomfortable and upset with what Renee is experiencing.

Bear and Heavy might not be aware of her background, but they are able to see the distress she is feeling, and both should feel thoroughly ashamed of themselves. I am a Heavy fan, but that does not mean I will condone and excuse everything he does, and neither should Bear fans.

:facepalm: The truth here is that there are real people with real experiences and real feelings behind the personas they present. The people and personas cannot be entirely separated as they are all part of the same person.

It is really simplistic to expect housemates to adopt a role and stick with it, or to expect genuine feelings not to emerge.

Heavy has received much more negative attention from some of the HMs, he's been called greedy, annoying, he gets shouted at for throwing food even though Bear has also done it, he gets told off in the bedroom for making noise in the morning though the lights are on and the HMs are up and Bear is being similarly loud, he has been fat shamed during nominations, I could go on

I think it's becoming increasingly clear that her "mob" thing is basically a reality TV persona that she can't keep up all of the time.

It reminds me a bit of Mimi Malone from shameless trying to take on Coolio years ago. She was in full "Shameless" mode but he was having none of it and she very quickly couldn't handle that she wasn't ACTUALLY from a Manchester crime family.

I agree sort of. I don't necessarily think he's sly or calculating, but he's definitely hiding some darkness / anger under all of that whinging.
