England's injury concerns ahead of Saturday's Six Nations match against Ireland have increased after Jonny Wilkinson sat out training on Thursday.

The injury-prone Newcastle fly-half has a tight hamstring and Mike Catt has been called up to fly with the squad to Dublin as "precautionary cover".

Wing Jason Robinson suffered a neck injury during training on Wednesday.

"There will be no decisions on Jason and Jonny for at least another 24 hours," said head coach Brian Ashton.

The possible loss of Wilkinson and Robinson would represent a massive blow for Ashton ahead of the Croke Park contest.
