Then crying when HIS ex walked in?
only for himself, not for the pain he caused her.
in case anyone's missed it, he has NO EMPATHY for anyone else. he doesn't see them as the same as him, in fact he doesn't really see them as people, just things he can use. it's why he can behave as he does. he has no conscience.

And
Well he's still the most entertaining

I beginning to think that Bear could do serious harm to someone and he would still find a way to blame them. Whatsmore people on the forums would still support him, and vote for him.

disliking him for the personality he's not just displayed but flaunted doesn't equate to being fixated on him. personal experience with my ex (the genuine real deal psychopath) means i recognise bear's calculating ways, his self-serving charm, his use of others as objects. and so do many others recognise it because it's damned obvious.

Buckled that people think Bear fans will give a crap about him being a dick to his girlfriend :joker:. Methinks some may have missed the point... People don't like bear because the bethink he's nice.
Also... A middle aged women still hanging from mummy's apron strings is pretty much THE most tragic thing I can imagine.

Well bear is a self centred human being. But I couldn't help but laugh at the look on his face when lilie entered... But at the end of the day, he was the one who cheated on her with Chloe Khan. The public are keeping him in because he is controversial and bound to cause drama though. And now he is favourite to win..

People who can't let go of mummy when they are pushing 50 will inevitably implode when dear old mum kicks the bucket. No idea how to exist without parental input and validation. It IS tragic. I'll bet she's been heavily involved in "guiding " (pushing) her career, too.

Youre assuming the mother is looking after the daughter and it is entirely probable that the opposite is true and that isn't tragic at all.

I really don't get this family going in to say something to housemates, even Marnie's Cousin.
The one for Renee was okay, something for a laugh.
For goodness sake, Sam has only been away from her Mum for a couple of weeks,I haven't seen my Mum for 5 weeks.
I would guess Sam was away for much longer periods when at the height of her 'art' as she calls it in the 1980s.

Gosh, you are a bitter one aren't you. Maybe have a lie down and don't take your own mummy issues out on everyone else? :)
And an embarrassingly juvenile jibe doesn't get any funnier simply by repeating it.

It doesn't matter how old you are...your mums always there for you. Sam has gone through a bereavement and her mum was probably her rock. It's been a hard house to live in this year with prats like Bear and Heavy D. It must be hard to cope with especially if you have had a tough year.
Sam has lost some support from me with the Chloe thing and bugging herself up but it's her mum...and if you are close with your mum and she's always been there for you..age is irrelevant.

I'm not bitter, I'm realistic. I'm happy for anyone who has a good ADULT relationship with their parents, but there's nothing worse than "permanent offspring" who hang on their parents words until the day they die.

People who rely on their parents to always be there for them, as I said, struggle to function when their parents are (inevitably) gone. Simple as that, really. It happens all the time. People lose that "rock" and they crash and burn because they never really grew up.

Genuinely surprised that getting emotional over seeing her mother is somehow being spun into a negative to use against her.

People has to decide whether they want another horrible housemate like Bear to win BB same as Helen Wood some years ago.For me we should not tolerate and make winners to those who are vile and ill-mannered.Do not make these vile people as winners.Renee is the only one who deserve to win as she was the only one who stood up to bear terrible bad behaviour.

I find it a strange logic to think that Renee has been any less 'vile' than Bear. The long string of names that she's called him "low-life" etc (I can't remember them all) is worse than anything he's ever said to or about her. Her jealous look isn't pretty and doesn't deserve to be rewarded.

I cried when I went on holiday with friends and came home and saw my mum. I literally don't care what people think of me for that, my mum is one of my best friends and I missed her so much.
Sam has had very public problems and it's likely that between those demons and losing her partner to cancer that her mum will have been her only constant and pretty much her rock, I see nothing wrong with being close to a parent and being happy to see them after not seeing them for a number of weeks.
The fact she's being dragged for it is sad imo

Sure. Negativity is acted upon a hell of a lot more than positivity though.
...maybe seen as a bit OTT in her emotions but that house has very much been one for releasing such things/such 'OTT's' with the stress of it../much more so than usual I would say with the constant purposeful goadings etc and windings up...that release when you see that person of 'comfort' in your life ...it's understandable and I would say, not something of criticism...(and Sam has had a bad/emotional week as well..)...

I personally don't think Bear and Helen are comparable. Bear isn't a nice guy, he likes to wind people up, is careless with other people's feelings and is entirely self-centred.
Helen Wood is a legitimately unpleasant, highly aggressive piece of work who thrived not on causing people to be just irritated or annoyed like Bear... But wanted people to be actually miserable. She was a legitimate bully who targeted people's emotional and physical insecurities.

..basically and essentially what Bear has done, then...the methods may not have been identical but it is essentially the same thing ...I think for me, I may not have liked Helen as a person or found anything to admire in her but she did give us everything she was, she did 'lay herself out there'../good/bad/ugly etc and wore no masks..and that made for a level of some kind of understanding..through her life as well, as to the reasons for her bitterness with so many things ...with Bear, he's a child in maturity and everything negative in a child/the lack of ownership of anything he does and the lack of thought of anyone beyond himself...he finds buttons and pushes them just co he can and then he laughs in the face of people's hurt by what he does...he really is the grimmest of grim in a person...

I disagree Ammi it's not the same at all and you even outlined my reasons for thinking so. Bear is immature and self-centered. He finds superficial buttons to push for his own amusement yes, but they are basically "generalised" buttons just to irritate anyone / everyone.
Helen you got in one word. Bitter. A genuinely twisted, broken woman. She deliberately preyed on people's INDIVIDUAL hang-ups, not for amusement, not because it made her laugh (beyond a stoney faced cackle), but because she genuinely just liked to see people hurt and isolated. She wasn't immature and self centered. She was straight up cruel, hard and abusive.
Give me an immature child playing daft games causing a bit of destruction, over a deliberately spiteful and vicious adult any day of the week.
Talk to the housemates who have been in there this time, any of them, about Bear in a few years time and they'll almost certainly just laugh about what a nightmare he was to live with.
Ask half (or more) of Helen Wood's housemates what they think of her still. :umm2:

....ughhh, I just hate it when you're right, TS....although I don't entirely know that some will when they've distanced themselves and 'played back'...but there are so many ways that they're not comparable..the comparison I think is only being looked at, at all because of two such negative houses and two houses based on 'one people shows'...both equally grim though and for me less levels of interest in Bear than I had with Helen because I could at least find some understanding with her...a child who presses buttons just for reactions will only ever get bad reactions, we will never see anything else from their targets, or very little and we'll have to filter through hard to find etc...and there is spite involved as well, the eggs and throwing around food etc is just 'daft' and thoughtless but so much of what he has done, has been deliberately targeted in spite...and in his own words, he will get people back with spite if he feels that they have wronged him in some way....strangely though, he softens with all who support his behaviour and excuse him....

It never fails to amaze me how nice things can be turned into negative things to suit people's agendas, shock horror, stop the press, a woman missed her mum, who had been her rock for the past year as her partner died of cancer, I'm sure the Daily Star will be fumed they didn't get the headline first.
