It did well to sustain itself for so long though, I never thought it'd last when it started

I've always wondered what would happen when this gets axed since there's a never-ending rotation of contestants
Noel was kicking off on Twitter about this. Apparently Channel 4 didn't even tell him this was happening and filming just stopped with contestants still left to play the game.
I wish they'd get rid of countdown as well. Other than nostalgia it serves no purpose whatsoever.

That's s**t, they should have just put the ones who played back on the boxes until everyone got their turn

Not watched it in ages :worry: I think they should have let everyone who applied and got through have a chance though.

Imagine turning up everyday just to stand behind a box and pretend your happy for everyone being picked, only to be told to go home at the end of it all http://i.imgur.com/XWmDaU1.png?1
I applied for this once and didn't even get on. The dream factory can BURN :fist:

That's kind of a ****ty thing to do to the contestants because they gave up their free time to be on this to win money and they won't get that chance now.. Noel still gets paid so i don't really care about him not knowing.

About time really I say, way past its best. Used to be kind of obsessed with it back in the day when I was in school but it got dull pretty quickly, despite the gimmicks they'd do each year.

I feel bad for the contestants. I wonder if any of them thought it was a joke at first?
The show had ran its course.

How dare they treat Lord Edmonds this way, I am appalled.

I guess this has run its course really.
It is however always a bit sad to lose programmes that have been there for a good while.
I don't agree with the 'Countdown' comment, I still love that programme and watch it whenever I can so hope that is safe for ages yet.

Yes at least with Countdown there's an element of skill. DOND is just picking boxes at random...how that's lasted 11 years is beyond me!

This show should have been axed before big brother.

Was iconic viewing in it's first couple of years. Novelty wore off, they tried a new format, but it never picked up again. Just one of them things.
Hopefully Noel gets some new shows xo

I always imagined myself 87 years old drinking tea and still watching Deal or No Deal...oh well
