What do you make of this??? :shocked:

BIG Brother chiefs will spice up the new series by allowing viewers to swop boring housemates for more exciting hopefuls.

I can reveal that a secret plan has been hatched to keep Big Brother substitutes on standby. They will live in a separate mini area dubbed “the attic”.

If viewers find the housemates boring, bosses will spring a surprise eviction and ask fans to vote on who they want to move in.
Read the whole article HERE (http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2003191077,00.html).

Firstly, can I just say that IMHO Dean was NOT boring! :thumbs:

I don't think I like this swopping housemates idea - new arrivals are always at a disadvantage and never seem to 'fit in' properly with the other HMs, who have had the chance to bond from the start. Just ask Josh, Sophie and Tim!

What do you think? :spin2:

So that means there would be just 10 in the house to start with then which doesn't sound enough peopl if they started with 12 last year!

I don't like the sound of this either - the house needs a mix of quieter and louder people. I think that's what made BB2 so good as Brian and Helen's loudness was balanced by Elizabeth and Dean's calm approach.

If the producers don't agree with the choice of who the public votes for then they shouldn't let us vote!

I don't like that idea, it may turn out ok or it could turn out like the bb3 bars disaster.

I am not sure what to think about this. It could be a good thing but it could also be a bad thing
We will have to wait until BB4 starts:hugesmile:

Again something i quite like that you lot don't - i like the idea of the attic - it's a bit like the austrailian idea of having two houses. I think it will add an area of more excitment.

plus with contained "extra" housemates - you won't get people like Josh, Claire, Sophie and Claire coming in and having a fixed idea on the housemates - they also won't be able to give them any infomation about the outside world xxx

The law of diminishing returns wreaks its unfettered horror on the phenomenon known as Big Brother. :shocked::bawling:

Does this mean that you're not going to be watching it this year, Sticks? :shocked:

And forfiet my right to moan and complain about it ? :shocked:

It will be an awful task, but one must not shirk this wearisome duty :mad:

How could you think otherwise :nono:

You really did have me worried there, for a minute, Sticks. :love:

As for the "attic" I seem to remember lots of rumours going round this time last year, most of which weren't true.

Let's just wait and see. :spin2:

In some ways I don't want them to mess with the format, keep it simple like the first two series and people will like it - BUT, for people to continue watching it people might want something a bit different to add more excitement.
I dont know!!:conf::spin2::conf:

It seems a strange idea but could end up working in our favour, especially if there is another Jade type in this years BB :laugh:
It's nice to see some BB news in the papers though :thumbs: :hello: :thumbs:

Depends how quickly they are going to make changes, but by swapping people around they cant be sure there will be improvements.

And anyway just think if they had had this in BB2 we could have lost Helen6
:bawling::bawling:

The first week or so she drove me completely mad and I kept saying "Get that Welsh girl out now". How wrong could I be.

:blush::blush:

Putting people in late does make it difficult for them - no-one who has come in late has really made a success of it.

All I ask is that they dont make wholesale changes as they did with BB3 just for the sake of it.:nono::nono:

One of the changes in Aussie Big Brother 3 is that the cameras are all hidden. i.e. no visible remote control ones that the HMs can see following them around.
I think that might help the people in the house forget that they are being filmed and act more naturally.

I agree that they need to have a balance of personalities in the house and housemates like Dean and Elizabeth were good for the atmosphere in the house.

The one thing I don't want to see is a bunch of wannabes competing for attention - people who treat it as a talent show, when it's meant to be a reality TV show with real people.

I'll go with that, James, though I tend to like the "personalities" of some of the cameras playing with the Students (LOL) or am I getting muddled with something else.................:laugh:
