I like Renée. She makes me smile and she seems to have a lot of basic kindness in her.

She has absolutely zero class. I don't understand why she keeps bringing up her past etc either - seeing the way she acts it's not exactly something she should be bragging about I don't think.

My favourite by a country mile, her rants are legendary.
Team RENEE all the way.
Ricky refusing to do yet another task has damaged his hopes imo.

Unfortunately with Renee everything is about the mobster world. Please don't tell me that as a child, or anytime in her life, she didn't at any stage get a Christmas 'gift' that meant a lot. I am sure her father coming out of prison meant a lot to her...did he come out Christmas Day?..did it happen over Christmas that she saw that 'as a Christmas present'?...did her ex husband cheat on her 'at Christmas' making that her worst Christmas gift?...probably not. However she used those two extreme cases fall into those two categories....hence making her dramatic life fall into this scenario...
She's so caught up in the mobster image...there surely must have been some 'normality' in her life she could have shared with us.
Very one dimensional...and tonight's episode gave her an opportunity to show another side but all she wants to show us is the tough life she has had and I don't buy it.

omg what do you think she is doing when she is ranting and raving at youngsters in the house and telling them if they were in the usa [in other words in her world ] their head would be facing the wrong way.:nono:

Meh, shes playing the game like the rest. I don't like this 'delicate little flower' act she does though when she is clearly hard as ****ing nails. Prefer feisty Renee than self-pitying Renee and I did think she was the kind of person to get the whole story before making a fuss, but seems not :S

They've been this years double act throughout...them as the final two would be a good result
Be perfect if she came second to Bear then called him a son of a bitch as she hugs him

I love renee, shes hilarious and her checking on bear when he didn't get a letter was nice and not expected considering the way he's been to her at times. shes got no chance to win (American, not eye candy, foul mouth, etc) but top 4 would be cool

A foul mouth never bothered me. They've all had their moments. Her background doesn't factor with me either. As you say, it's the full extent of her character traits which I find both warming and entertaining. Some may see just the caricaturistic mob wife edits but there's depth there. Caring, self-mocking at times, funny, feisty, protective, intuitive and remorseful. Good and bad but an all-rounder both with opening up and being involved. I don't understand how Sam and Ricky are favourites tbf. I feel neither of those two have either opened up and played the game frankly and fully or fully engaged in any capacity. She's got my vote.:hee:

She was raised as a troll and continues to be one to this day. I think that is clear to the viewers. It's a matter of time before one of the housemates discovers her bone pile (and James's horrible dog).
She is an amazing strong women who stands up for herself and people like you see it as being a vile nasty bitch?

Does 'standing up for yourself' really count if you cry every time after you do it? I don't think she's as 'strong' as she likes to make out.

Do you really not see how upset she gets in there? the young people take pleasure in upsetting her and it's so disturbing to watch.

Her crying 'every time' is debatable Imo. Sometimes, yes, in reference to it counting. I've stood my ground over bullying behaviour at work, complained officially when no one else suffering it would. I still took myself off at times to a side office to bawl. I'd bawl when I was in the comfort of my own home. It's venting everything out. She has nowhere else but the toilet, shower or diary room to cry. If she was playing the one trick pony mobster wife like some have said, she's spoiling her own game plan shedding tears. I'd like to think it's simply raw human emotion?

I'd have been a crying mess every day if I was stuck in there with a **** like Bear, mostly out of pure frustration that he's such an aggravating, nasty piece of work.

Actually pretty much every time I've seen her 'upset' it's been after an argument, so I would imagine they're not aware that she reacts in this way.

You could also argue that she knows how to play the game and get sympathy on her side. Crying works wonders especially after confronting someone seen as the 'bad guy'. I think she's pretty clued up on reality tv. There's nothing wrong with crying - it's what she says and how she acts that contradicts it.

Have to agree to disagree although your last sentence got me thinking. Bear can antagonise but launch into a naive Joe Pasquale impression to attempt to deflect any goading accusation. He plays it for laughs. He also is more than au fait with reality tv. So if tears are disingenuous for sympathy it follows that maybe fake naïveté is for laughter. Now plenty of his fans believe he's a hoot. In the relative scheme of things, others can truly sympathize with Renee. Before anyone claims that is his natural voice, I caught some clips of Ex shows. Also interviews shown on BBBOTS prior to entering the house. Take it down a far few octaves and it matches.

She wasn't brought up to be bullied by a child like ape and she feels a fool for being put into that situation, yes she shouts a lot, yes she swears a lot, but who wouldn't in her situation? being constantly picked at by someone as vicious as Bear is exhausting.

I think there's a major difference between crying and exaggerating a part of your personality. I think the 'real' Bear is what you see when he's sat having a conversation with someone (like I've seen with numerous people - Ricky, Katie, Chloe, Lewis, Marnie to name a few) and I think he's a bit of a prankster too. Does he exaggerate and try to wind people up? Absolutely and I'm sure he'll admit that himself. With Renee I'm just not so sure that what you see is what you get.
