The correct top ten: The Office, Peep Show, Extras, Green Wing, The Thick of It, Psychoville, Gavin & Stacey, Getting On, Beautiful People and The Royle Family.
This is just British ones though... Parks & Recreation, 30 Rock, Broad City, Arrested Development, Futurama and American Dad! would all make the top 20 easily overall.
Always thought Black Books was 90s  And as much as I'm indifferent to Mrs Brown's, it's 200000000x funnier than Miranda which is the biggest disgrace to modern British comedy.

Agree with Psychoville. Surprised The League of Gentlemen was not in the top twenty.
As a connoisseur of the British sitcom, I find it disgraceful that Still Game isn't on that list.
I'm sure the Scottish member's who have seen it will agree.
Regarding The Royle Family and The League of Gentlemen, although they both did air in the 21st century, they both started in the 1990s, and looking at this list, it looks like sitcoms that began in the 21st century.
I agree that Psychoville should be in there, and other notable absentees from that list include Saxondale, The Mighty Boosh and Early Doors.
My top ten of the 21st century
1 Still Game
2 Peep Show
3 Early Doors
4 The Office
5 Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights
6 The Thick of It
7 The Mighty Boosh
8 Saxondale
9 Psychoville
10 Gavin and Stacey
I'd also like to put a mention in for 'Rev'

Mrs Brown's Boys is one of the worst programs ever.
'Toast of London' is another that should make the top 20

You should, it's my alltime favourite show and a young Graham Norton makes appearances throughout as Father Noel Furlong
