DISTRAUGHT star Jo O’Meara was facing more trauma last night after being “swindled” out of £400,000.

The Celeb Big Brother housemate — who is recovering from a suicide bid — has discovered £200,000 has been taken from her savings.

She also faces losing her home any day because it was remortgaged for another £200,000 without her knowing.

Jo, 27 — at the centre of the Big Brother race-row with Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd — was stunned when she discovered the truth.

The former S Club 7 singer, who was paid £40,000 for appearing on the Channel 4 reality show, is now facing financial ruin.

A close source said: “Jo is trying to get herself together, but it’s so hard.

“She is devastated by what has happened and she’s tried her best to keep it quiet. She said she only went on Celebrity Big Brother to raise cash. But obviously everything went so wrong.

“Now, it’s just a matter of time as to when her house will be repossessed. The bailiffs could turn up tomorrow. You just never know.”

Jo’s home in Noak Hill, Romford, Essex, is believed to be worth £650,000. If she is kicked out she plans to live with mum Barbara, 60, nearby.

The star has been on anti-depressant Prozac since leaving Big Brother, where she was accused of joining in racial bullying of Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty.

And last Sunday she tried to kill herself by guzzling ten Nurofen painkiller tablets. Luckily her family caught her in time and made her drink salt water until she was sick.

Last night, a close friend said: “Jo is bravely trying to move on — and we are all helping her.”

Yes, well it would be terrible, except that it is not true.

It goes from bad to worse for Jo and I couldn't give a flying.....and if I could work the phrase 'rats ass' into this sentence then I'd have it.

so erm, who exactly has supposed to have re-mortgaged her house without her knowledge? If its not Jo's signiture on the paperwork then what can a bailiff do apart from report a case of fraud to the cops. This story is just bull ship.

Yeah, and how has £200,000 been taken from her savings without her knowledge? I thought she was broke?

Exactly, it doesn't kill you - plus she is hardly 'bravely trying to move on' if she's supposedly attempting to commit suicide!

Anyway either way, yeah I've expressed sympathy towards Jo in terms of what she's having to face, not because I feel what she did wasn't so bad. This is all wearing a bit thin now, especially when a lot of what's being said in the papers is either exaggerated or plain not true at all (which is probably the case this time!)

Poor Jo. She's going through hell. I hope she get out of it and just move on with her life.

Another fluff piece of fiction designed to fool the Heat sheep types into feeling sorry for her

I don't buy the rag this article came from. I don't buy Heat, either. But I do 'feel sorry' for Jo. Because I'm human, rather than a sheep. It's the petty bigots who wish her pain and misery who flock together.

I wouldn't wish pain or misery on her. But I don't know her, so I don't know why I should feel sorry for her.

Would she feel sorry for me if I was in her position? Highly doubtful. And why should she?

You tell 'em Roofie.

There's a touch of Margaret Thatcher about Jo. When she's on the up and destroying people confidence, she all fine. But when she's the victim, she breaksdown.
