Bugs need to stop flying around in peoples houses like they are welcomed :fist: simple situation would be to shut the window but then it will get too hot.

I've noticed the evenings getting a bit darker earlier lately but the sun during the day needs to ****.
All the moths and flies are still annoying as ever though.

I like the sun during the day since I can just chill with friends somewhere, but yeah i'm looking forward to the winter days and nights only sept-dec through jan-feb winter is the WORST

You're lucky to call THIS summer.
You don't have to go through 33 degrees (and the high humidity) 90% percent of the year with a lame hardly-two-weeks "winter".

This forums obsession with dark, dull and miserable days is very strange indeed

It's been a good summer this year actually. It's only rained like 3-4 times in the last two months over here in London and other than that the weather has been nice and I've enjoyed it but I'm over it now and want autumn to come.

That's why I moved back to TX after living up north with the snow people. The people were nice, but too damn cold and having chapped lips most months out of the year. I love my year round sunshine, though we barely have winter with less than 24 hrs of freezing weather per year and maybe see a flake or two of snow every 5-10 yrs. The sun is a retena burner and is bright as **** and you need shades 24/7 when driving and though the humidity is high, the weather is variable and changes often enough... it contributes a lot to my good moods :hee:
I felt like I had a bad case of SAD when I lived near DC. You'll read me whine it hits 40F(4C) here... I'll take 40C over 0 any day.

Just bought myself a new winter coat also, can't wait to try it out and see if it keeps me snuggly enough in the winter chill.

This confused me also, so did a google, Luke, and found the following, so you and LT are both right. I knew that LT knowing his weather wouldn't be wrong.
'In meteorological terms autumn begins on September 1, as each season is defined as a three-month period. Astronomers base the date of the seasons upon celestial events, in this case the autumnal equinox, when night and day are roughly equal length'
I have done three posts in a row now on this thread, so looks like I have now killed this thread

Incorrect @ Luke
The autumn we are all referring too is the meteorological autumn that we experience here on earth and 5 miles above out heads, a season that involves weather and plants and animals
The equinox that just so happens to use the words autumn and summer refers to astronomy outwith the earths atmosphere and refers to when day and night lengths are equal
If you start using astronomical measures for seasons you have the silly situation were December the 20th is still autumn
Autumn is Sept, Oct and Nov

stop looking at your Letts Girl Guides diary and understand that Autumn that we are on about is the season and not an equinox that involves Stars

I haven't been so bothered by Summer this year unless out in the midday Sun, as indoors I have hit on a simple idea to keep my house a bit cooler without the use of fans and so far it has worked :)
