I thought that cheating on his his (ex) girlfriend on TV and then claiming she was attention-seeking was comedy gold, up there with all the classics...you know, like World War II, famine in Africa...he's hilarious, ain't he?!

The one funny thing he did was unintentional, but has to be the funniest moment of the series for me........
This was his reaction to the security guard in the diary room! Made me laugh so much at the time, as well as every time I've seen it since! Hysterical in so many ways!

Name one funny thing Bear's done? Well out of the house yesterday he tweeted this:
Bear @stephen_bear
Writing my film at the minute ... #ruthless #writeranddirector #multitasking
SO James Whale was telling truth about Bear's aspirations to be a writer and director :shocked::hehe::hehe:

No, but it could have had a different outcome eg he squares up to guard etc

Putting the pie in Aubrey face
Absolutely, she was all geared up to head over on the word go, to smash one in his face, he did what I would have done with her still being in the house, eventually at last in a small way, getting her back for being vile and spitting in his food and drink, by rubbing the pie in her face first.
There are loads of things he said and did that made me laugh, a lot that made me cringe too, however things like winding up Renee, especially in the Christmas task with the ''ooh angry elf'' jibe endlessly repeated too.
In the house he would have driven me near crazy but for me he was compulsive viewing.
Especially in what would have otherwise been a constant Lewis/Marnie showmance series as to the highlights, with the others acting more like as if they were in a Library near all the series too.

I've struggled to think of something so I give up.
He played them like fiddle's, they all expected an easy ride, they didn't expect what Bear brought to the picnic.
The guy was a nobody and took the rest of the cast to the cleaners.

Its so tragic that none of these are actually funny. His reaction to the bouncer and his reaction to Sams "GO AND GROW YOURSELF A PENIS" was the closest he got. He genuinely has zero wit. Zero. Beingg serious, absolutely none. Proof in thread.

Gotta agree with this, though I did LOL a few times through the series (at Bear, and at others) but those clearly weren't funny enough for me to remember actual moments

I disagree, so your opinion is wrong.

But that's just it...the security guard clip showed him up for the shallow coward he is. Bear wasn't funny at all...it was only funny because we laughed AT him..not with him...big difference.

farting in the big brother diary room, and calling frankie a pussy cat, and it was funny when renee was always shouting at him, he always had that silly child look on his face when renee ranted at him,

Would you say wit is subjective? I'd say wit has a pretty clear definition. Bears funny in the same way a clown in funny.. As in he makes loud noises, makes others feel uncomfortable and laughs at other peoples expense.. But clowns arent witty. Nor is Bear
Imo whatever.

Wit and humour aren't the same thing though. That's probably why you struggle to understand it all.
Bear out-played and out-performed every other housemate in there by a mile! He, as a single person, brought more to the series than the rest of the housemates combined did.
And as for the people claiming he ''bullied'' people in there.......who the **** did he bully and how ? That accusation is absolute crap! He had far more aggression and nastiness directed at him than he directed at anyone else and even then he handled it very well. If someone had spat in my food i don't think i would have been as forgiving as he was. That was absolutely VILE and Aubrey definitely deserved to be ejected for it.:yuk:
He antagonised people and wound them up but that's not bullying and if he hadn't gone out of his way to get reactions out of people there would have been very little footage for the producers to make the daily shows out of. He was never malicious or spiteful, unlike some of the others were to him.
I didn't even know who he was on launch night and after seeing him enter the house i thought i was going to detest him (and did for the first couple of days) but once i worked him out and could see how he was playing it it was clear that he was pretty much carrying the show.
It would have been a travesty if he hadn't won. There was nobody even close to being worthy of the win this series. Best CBB winner since Gary Busey imho.
Congrats to Bear on a glorious Win in the miserable face of adversity!!!:clap1::clap1::clap1:

Excellent post JTM45.
I agree with it all, also like you I thought I would dislike Bear on launch night then just really was hooked on the way he was playing being in the house.
In my view he just got better too over the series, never letting up.
Again as you said above, actually carrying the show.

OP asked for something genuinely funny, I took it to mean the inclusion of wit or good timing or hysteria.. Something genuinely funny.. Idk.. One of us read it wrong, could be me, but the way i read it makes nothing here qualify.

I didnt find a single solitary second of him funny..hes the bore fo the century and he is a bully too....throwing food around the house, smashing windows, shouting over people, deliberately keeping people awake at night ...genius? considering the corrupt producers gave him 24 hour coverage for 3 to 4 weeks , his sum total of hilarious moments is pitiful...id get funny moments filming my cat for half an hour and he doesnt waste food either

Antagonising people and winding them up to get a reaction to the point of tears IS BULLYING. If you saw your son, daughter, wife, husband dissolve into tears at his incessant wind ups you might be of a different opinion. Playing a game and carrying a show on those moral grounds does not make him a deserving winner.
