View Full Version : Rapist Brock Turner released from prison after 3 months

Outrage sparks as Brock Turner only serves 3 months of a measly 6 month sentence. Additionally, there is more upset as the media titles articles "Stanford University Swimming Student Brock Turner is released after sexual abuse charges". If you recall his victim gave a long and detailed account of how he raped her unconscious body in an alley way next to the house party that they both attended until 2 Swedish students caught him and chased him away.

I don't know very much about this case, but 3 months for that is absurd D:
his victim gave a long and detailed account of how he raped her unconscious body this makes no sense though..unless she had video proof? You cannot give a detailed account of something that happened while you were unconscious?

Ridiculous that he's been released so early, at the same time, because there's been such a furore around this case, I feel like even if he'd have served the 6 months ( that's not a sentence) his life is completely screwed from now anyway

Well yeah but she woke up with his thing inside of her on the ground and the detail comes from how she felt and what happened before and during then after the rape.

The worrying thing is the message this sends out to other men of his ilk.
I hope someone kills the ugly ****

I hope someone kills the ugly ****I think, like George Zimmerman, this man has been seen to get away with a very serious crime; so not surprised by this sentiment. I honestly fear for his well being and when someone inevitably gets to him I wonder how all those who thought, he 'wasnt prepared' for prison, will think of their decision. At least in prison the pubic will see him serve his time.

Very worrying indeed, 3 months is really nothing.

..yeah, this and this really...his life seems fairly screwed anyway, so a very long sentence in a way for what he did.../I know that doesn't justify the judicial sentencing but as Girth said...be careful what you wish for, really in getting those great lawyers etc because he was much safer in prison, I think...so maybe not a 'lenient' sentencing at all...

Justice at its best eh.
Poor lamb wasn't prepared for prison, we'll he mostly certainly wouldn't be prepared for what I have in mind if it was my daughter/family member that he had so callously raped.:fist:
The message given here is disgusting.

It's a disgusting miscarriage of justice. The judge who gave this sentence shouldn't be a judge any longer. This 'man' was guilty of rape beyond a shadow of a doubt and there's no valid reasons for him to be given such a light sentence.

I would've understood if there was doubt on his guilt, but if people witnessed him rape the girl then he should be locked up for the max sentence that you get for rape.

i genuinely hope he gets the **** beaten out of him. I have no idea what this judge was even thinking... Disgusting.

This story honesty disgusts me more and more every time I see it. I can't even imagine what his victim and her family are going trough right now. How can people honestly trust the justice system when things like this happen? It makes me wonder what kid of morally corrupt, sleaze this judge is himself to even think this sentence is appropriate.

I usually disagree with stuff like this, but if the state isn't willing to punish him, I ****ing hope someone else does. Maybe cutting the damn thing off may teach him a lesson...

Yeah, his sons life shouldn't be ruined because of "20 minutes of action" - that's how he described the rape :/
Vicky.

If you just go on what the offender got out of it, you could say 'X life shouldn't be ruined for 10 seconds of action' about a murderer and such though. What a vile man and a horrid way of looking at things :S
..this isn't really on topic but it's something that I was reading about on Imgur when this thread was made and interesting because of the difference in sentencing even without evidence...(it's not a recent story btw..)...

Jesus, poor guy. It's an absolute disgrace that they aren't prosecuting that woman.
You would have to wonder was skin colour a factor in the differences in sentencing between those two cases

..yeah, I have to say those were my thoughts as well at first...but then, I don't think it would be because a black 'victim' also...so a much different/more appropriate sentencing for a black 'victim'..?......and with Brock Turner, a white Caucasian and the same with his victim... I don't think it was a racial thing...

What I mean is, Brock Turner benefited from being a white well to do male, I don't think the colour of the victim mattered at all

He got more of a punishment than most rapists. Most rapists never even get brought to court, let alone go to jail.

Wrong. Black men get away with rape ALL THE TIME. Brock Turner has faced more punishment than most black rapists do.
