2002/2003 - Had 2 pet goldfish called Lala and Po apparently (according to mam)
1997-2003 - A dog called Oscar - he died in an accident I don't wish to know the details of
2003-2006 - A rabbit called Slinky
2003-2009 - A bird named Woody who was honestly so great
2004-2005 - A dog called Chester - he needed too many walks which my mam and dad didn't have time to give him so we give him to a family friend who was semi retired and had the time for him.
2006-2007 - A rabbit called Stitch who was basically like a dog but got killed by a dog <\3
2010 - We took in two birds named Woody 2 and Jessie but they wanted to have babies and wouldn't do it in our house so we have them to an avery where they hatched eggs<333
2007-present - Countless goldfish that have died or I've given away (I put some in a big lake in hope they grew into massive goldfish and had great lives and as far as I know that happened). I had an icon called Princess who lived for a few years before dying suddenly of an illness and another iconic who lived from 2012 to 2016 he died of an illness too <\3
2008-2009 - A hamster named Pippa who died
2008-2009 - A dog called Pepper - again she needed too many walks and stuff which my mum and dad didn't have time for (she was sprung on us as a surprise) so we give her to a teacher at my future high school who lives on a massive farm and gives her plenty of exercise.
2009 - 2012 - Hamsters who well outstayed their life expectancy much to my mams dismay
2010-2015 - Chickens who died of old age (icons)
2013-present - A lemon goldfish who I don't really have a name for
2013 - present - An iconic dog named Percy<333
2014 - present - An iconic dog named Stanley <333
(Loves of my life)
2016-present - 2 Guinea pigs who are ****S But they're cute <333

I must've had Charlie the Cat for the most part of a decade. He was put to sleep a couple months after I'd left for Uni and I've never once thought about replacing him.

1997-00: a cat called Lola, i don't remember her but my mum gave her away when I was born cos I was allergic to her.
1998-12: a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Jake, we had him put down in 2012 cos he was just so ill and it wasn't fair on him.
2000-idk about 11: countless goldfish, about fifteen all together. All died except for two which live in my great uncles pond. Fun Fact: one was called Catherine who I won at a fair and she basically starved herself to death.
2013-present: a yellow Labrador called Chapman, legendary to say the least.

Hmmm, la goldfish in my great uncles pond are more than likely dead now considering he's had them for the best part of a decade.

2005 (I think?) (a week) A bird, it always looked odd and sick so i dont know.. but i was depressed for 3 days after it died :(
2005-2007 another bird we really loved that bird, it was lovely.. it went missing in our holiday house because my father.......... didnt understand us saying to NOT to open the cage outside, like it heard the dog bark and it was so scared so flied away it was so sad
2007-2012 this was by far the saddest one, we were really upset when it died, it took us months to get over it

Hopefully 2016 (?) - forever (lol) we will adopt a dog i hope one day

When I was really young there was a Cat named Fluff that ran away by the time that I was 5 because he couldn't handle the new living conditions sadly.

Then we had a Guinea Pig named Thomas for a little bit but my parents couldn't handle looking after him and me and my Brother was really young at the time so they gave him to one of my Cousins to look after.

And then for 13 years we had a Cat named Snowy, I loved him very much but certain circumstances have taken him away from the family (and no he didn't die) just certain other issues cropped up on our end than on his sadly.

Yes they all have horrible endings, none of them intentional even though it does look like we're irresponsible owners in our family.

A cross bred Staffie can have often a different temperament Mock.
Less tolerant.

Really loyal dogs pedigree Staffies are too.

Anyone else suddenly feeling ancient?? :joker:

Anyway...

1990 - 2005 we had a cat... he was 15 when he died so was around for most of my childhood (I was 5 when we got him). He died of a heart attack whilst trying to use his litter tray. Just like Elvis :(

Got a dog in 1996, she was supposed to be "my" Christmas present but latched onto my mum like a limpet :joker:. I moved out in 2004 so she sort of stopped being "my pet" then but she lived until 2012 so a decent age as well.

At Uni my girlfriend (now wife) got a Russian Dwarf hamster, who lived for 3.5 years even though their expected lifespan is 1.5 - 2 years.

Yay my pets live long lives! But then... oh no...

We got a kitten in September 2014. He was a bit mental / stupid (I think he had genuine issues) and he was hit and killed by a car in Summer 2015 before he even turned 1 :(.

Currently my daughter has another 2 dwarf hamsters.

Yeah it doesn't help that one of the mongrel Staffs that I lived nearby was in Birmingham where all of the big Dogs was being bred to be vicious.

But yeah pedigree Staffs seem to be a lot nicer.

I hate to even think of that, that anyone wants to so endanger a Dog as well as themselves and others, to make it more more aggressive.

Pointless.

When someday I get to own a Dog I want him/her to be friendly towards strangers and friends as at the end of the day they're suppose to be a pet so I agree with your analysis.
