I remember being amazed at how much she worked for that performance and then even more amazed when I think all of the judges besides Rita gave her lukewarm comments and she got eliminated the next night iirc :umm2:
she was robbed because of the ****ing stupid double eliminations, it better not return

Lauren Murray got TONS of unwarranted hate on here. I think it was cos she pushed one of 4th Impact, which isn't really that bad.

I think everyone did welp, a 4th placer normally gets a record deal but she didn't
Lola Saunders definitely was better than the other girls that year. Lauren Platt and Chloe Jasmine were ok/average and Steph Nala was ****. Cheryl should have picked Kerianne.

Belle Amie are quite underrated, they're my favourite from 2010.
I think everyone did welp, a 4th placer normally gets a record deal but she didn't
She's probably done better than any of the contestants from 2014 besides Fleur though, she'a children's TV presenter now:laugh:

I agree with this especially about Steph, she suits a group rather than being solo. She was way too weak

Lauren Murrays performance of You Don't Own Me didn't get enough love, it was the performance of the series.
Cheryl seemed to have no time for Lola though</3
I remember Lola's last week when they acted like Cheryl had worked with her so much and she was coming back with a bang and that it turned out Cheryl just had Lola's hair dyed

Lola got snubbed by production for the likes of Ben, Jay, Paul, Lauren etc.
I was genuinely shocked when Cheryl put neither Lola or Kerianne in her top 3</3
She should have picked Lola, Kerianne and Lauren and then Chloe Jasmine should have been the wildcard.

2014 was such a weak line up besides Fleur though I thought. 2015 actually had a strong lineup but nearly everyone good went early on (Alien, Mason, Monica etc)

On the main show, I agree. Her sing-off performance of I Know Where I've Been that same week was by far her best on the show and it was ridiculous that it wasn't a majority result for her to stay.

Yeah Lauren was consistently good I always thought but production turned her into the 'female villain' (see: Misha B, Hannah Barrett) that year for a bit of PR so she was doomed.
Omfg I only just realised that Olly told Monica she was going home before he was supposed to. I just thought he added up the judge's votes wrong and thought she had more to go - not that he knew she had been eliminated from the voting or whatever.

Laura White- Somebody Else's Guy
One of the most underrated, amazing contestants in the history of The X Factor. I was shocked when she was eliminated in week 5. This was an incredible, almost forgotten performance from her. I love the power in her voice

Treyc Cohen- Purple Rain
As much as I love Ruth Lorenzo's version of Purple Rain. I thought Treyc's rendition was also outstanding and well class. Both were different arrangements but I felt Treyc's more. An underrated performance

I understand the viewers have to judge on the performances, but Lauren Platt like most of the acts that series was humiliated to make way for the Fleur show in Simon's eyes.
Lauren was clearly not a diva singer, yet was being given songs where she had to belt knowing that she couldn't sing that style of Music, it doesn't make her bad, it's just not her style, just like how OTY couldn't do Charli XCX.
And with Lauren Murray she suffered for being confident which The X Factor likes conceited personalities, plus Lauren Murray was more of an emotive performer than an actual vocalist imo.

I agree. Still can't get over her being robbed of her place in the final though. Its ridiculous to have a sing-off when there is 4 left, Lauren had the 3rd most amount of votes from the public so she should have been in the final.
And with Lauren Murray she suffered for being confident which The X Factor likes conceited personalities, plus Lauren Murray was more of an emotive performer than an actual vocalist imo.
Again, I agree. She put everything into her final performance and still lost out to Bland Chesterman. Awful.

Lauren Murray, Firestonehttps://youtu.be/S2Fb8ZBH1ks
Simon was MAD when he criticised this. Perfection
Janet Devlin, chasing cars https://youtu.be/1QxZWd49pjs
No matter how much they wanted rid of her, Janet should've never left after this masterpiece
Lucie Jones, This is mehttps://youtu.be/h72Ealbvuls
I also can't believe she left that week, she took that theme and killed it. Could've been her in the movie and no one would've knew
Amelia Lilly, show must go onhttps://youtu.be/7V3OjRxvsTE
Although she did win the vote when she returned
And that's just a few, I could pick SO many underrated performances, a few of which have already been added!

Both would've been more acceptable winners than the ones we actually got as well because Lauren Platt would've promoted that you can sing subtle and actually win, and Lauren Murray promotes the actual raw performance element that the show never appreciates.

Tbh in series 12 I felt like joke acts were all getting past Lauren Murray at the top 5.
And every time Fleur kept beating Lauren Platt and Andrea kept mystifying me with no performing or vocal skills, I mean with enough practice anyone can do the dance routine route on TXF and it bought her second place.:joker:
And I'm saying bought as Simon used a lot of the shows money on her backing dancers.:joker:

Fleur just danced through Uptown Funk imo, completely overrated performance in my eyes.
And Reggie N Bollie was at least different at the top 5, it was Che, Louisa, and 4th Impact that was my issue at that point as they were all interchangeable from each other whilst all being weaker than Lauren Murray out of that type of singer imo.
At the top 5 I would've had Lauren Murray and Reggie N Bollie as the final two.
